Selection Procedure / Scheme
The entire selection process will have a preliminary written test, PMT / PET, and a final written examination. Further details will be as follows:
Preliminary Examination (Applicable To All The Posts)
AP Police SI Prelim exam will be held in Dec 2021 in two sessions in offline mode [OMR-based papers]. Session I will be conducted for paper I and session II for paper II.
Candidates are required to appear in both papers/sessions. Each paper will be of 3 hours’ duration. The preliminary written test will be qualifying in nature. Questions in both papers will be objective in nature and set in Urdu, English, and Telugu languages.

To qualify the preliminary written test, candidates will have to score the following minimum marks in both the paper

Securing qualifying marks in both papers is compulsory otherwise candidates will be disqualified. However, marks obtained by the candidates in the Preliminary Written Test will not be counted for the final selection.

Paper I & II are only qualifying in nature. To be considered further in the selection process, candidates will have to score the minimum marks in Paper I & II.
However, marks of papers I & II will not be considered for the final selection. Papers I & II will have both subjective & objective questions.
However, Paper III & IV will have only objective-type questions in Urdu, English, and Telugu languages.
To qualify in the final written examination, candidates will have to score the following minimum marks in each paper

Final Selection
- For Postcode 01(Men) & 06 (Men &Women) – The final selection will be done on merit drawn after considering marks of papers III & IV.
