Minimum Educational Qualification [As on July 01, 2018]

To apply for any aforesaid post, candidates must have a degree given by any University in India or any other equivalent qualification. In case, if you possess higher qualification than the prescribed one, you also will be considered for selection.

Candidates who have obtained degree through distance education mode are also eligible to apply if their degree is approved by UGC / AICTE / DEC.

Registration Fee

  • Local candidates of Andhra Pradesh belonging to OCs and BCs are required to pay a fee of Rs.600/- towards processing of application, preliminary exam etc.
  • Local candidates of Andhra Pradesh belonging to SCs and STs are required to pay only Rs. 300/- towards the same

Selection Procedure / Scheme

The entire selection process will have preliminary written test, PMT / PET and final written examination. Further details will be as follows:

Preliminary Examination (Applicable To All The Posts)

It will be held on Dec 16, 2018 [Sunday] in two sessions in offline mode [OMR based papers]. Session I will be conducted for paper I and session II for paper II. Candidates are required to appear in both papers / sessions. Each paper will be of 3 hours’ duration. Preliminary written test will be qualifying in nature. Questions in both papers will be objective in nature and set in Urdu, English and Telugu languages.

To qualify preliminary written test, candidates will have to score the following minimum marks in both the paper

  • For SCs / STs / Ex-servicemen – 30% marks

Securing qualifying marks in both papers is compulsory otherwise candidate will be disqualified. However, marks obtained by the candidates in the Preliminary Written Test will not be counted for the final selection.

Paper I & II are only qualifying in nature. To be considered further in the selection process, candidates will have to score the minimum marks in Paper I & II. However, marks of paper I & II will not be considered for final selection. Papers I & II will have both subjective & objective questions. However, Paper III & IV will have only objective type questions in Urdu, English and Telugu languages.

To qualify in the final written examination, candidates will have to score the following minimum marks in each paper

Final Selection

  • For Post code 01(Men) & 06 (Men &Women) – Final selection will be done on a merit drawn after considering marks of paper III & IV.
  • For Post code 05 (Men & Women) & 04 (Men) – Final selection will be done on a merit drawn after considering marks of paper III & IV and Physical Efficiency Test. Merit list will be drawn on 300 marks [(Paper- III (100 Marks), Paper IV (100 Marks) & PET (for 100 marks)].
  • For Post code 02 (Women) & 03 (Men) – Final selection will be done on a merit drawn after considering marks of paper III & IV.
