Canara Bank PO 2019 Exam Pattern
Canara bank PO test will have questions given both in English and in Hindi, except for the subject English language. The total mark for the test will be 200. The composite time allotted for the test will be two hours. The total number of questions in the test will be 200, which will be divided among four subjects.

Canara Bank PO Exam Date
The date of exam for the Canara Bank PO position based on PGDBF Course is not known as the notification has not yet been released by the Canara Bank. However, based on the test conducted in the year 2018, it is expected that the test for the year 2019 will be conducted on the 4th of March 2019.
Canara Bank PO Selection Process
The selection of the candidates for the Canara Bank PO position will happen based on an objective type written test, Group Discussion and Interview. The online test in the pattern mentioned above will be conducted by the IBPS.
The bank will decide on the least cut-off marks for each subject. Also, the total score expected will also be decided by the Canara Bank. In addition to obtaining the minimum score in each subject, every candidate will have to secure the minimum total score as well to be considered for Group Discussion and the interview.
Based on the number of vacancies that the bank announces when issuing the notification for Canara Bank PO, candidates ranking sufficiently high in the order of merit in the online test based on the cut-off marks decided will be shortlisted. The shortlisting of candidates will be in the ratio of 1:3. It means that for every position three candidates will be selected for calling to GD and Interview.
The total mark allotted for GD and the interview is 50 each. Candidates from general category will have to secure at least 40% and candidates from reserved category will have to secure at least 35% in GD and PI. The ratio of weightage to the online test, GD and PI are 50:20:30 respectively.
Once they secure minimum marks as per their category and get prescribed cut off then they will be called for taking up the PGDBF Course. Candidates should pass the PGDBF course to get appointed as PO in Canara bank.
If two or more candidates secure the same score in the merit order, the better ranking will be given to the older candidate. Candidates will have to take up the course in the respective institution and they will be given admission based on merit cum preference. The decision of banking in this respect will be binding.
