GSET 2020 Notification & Registration : The Gujarat state eligibility test (GSET) 2020 will be conducted on 30th September 2020 by the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. To apply, interested and eligible candidates should have to fill and submit online applications @ www.gujaratset.ac.in.
The last day for online application submission is May 15th, 2020 up to 18:00 hours. In the month of April 2020, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara will release an official notification for the Gujarat state eligibility test (GSET) 2020. With the release of official notification, the online application process was also started and remains open till May 15th, 2020 up to 18:00 hours.

GSET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who want to apply for GSET 2020 should go through the official notification to know about essential eligibility conditions like age limit, domicile & educational qualifications.
Age Limit and Relaxation
There is no lower or upper age limit applying in the Gujarat state eligibility test (GSET) for eligibility of Assistant Professor.
Candidates from Gujarat and other states are eligible to appear in the GSET 2020. However, candidates from other states will not get any reservation benefits because they shall be treated as general category candidates.
Candidates who have completed a master’s degree recognized by U.G.C., in a subject of GSET are eligible to appear in the GSET. Candidates studying in the final year or semester are also eligible to apply for GSET 2020.
Candidates having a master’s degree OR equivalent examination with at least 55% marks from institutions/universities recognized by UGC in Computer Science & Applications, Social Science, Humanities (including languages) and Sciences are eligible to apply for GSET 2020.
GSET 2020 Application Fee & Mode Of Payment
General / SEBC (non-creamy layer) candidates should have to pay a fee of Rs. 800/- as their application fee. SC / ST / PWD (PH/VH) / transgender candidates should have to pay a fee of Rs. 700/- as their application fee.

All the eligible candidates should have to pay examination fee online through State Bank of India website. For fee payment, an applicant can use a net-banking facility or debit/credit card. After fee payment, an applicant will get an ‘SB Collect Reference Number’. The applicant should note down and preserve it along with the fee payment transaction receipt.
GSET 2020 Application Form & Process
Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) 2020 application forms are available online @ www.gujaratset.ac.in. Interested candidates have to visit the GSET website for filling and submitting an online application. Before doing this, candidates must go through the official notification in order to ensure eligibility conditions.
Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) 2020 online application form can be submitted in 2 below mentioned steps:
Step 1 Fee payment through SBI Payment Gateway
- Open GSET’s official website or click here
- On the homepage, you will see fee important links, important dates table and so on
- Find and click on ‘Step I Pay Examination Fee using SB collect facility’ tab
- On clicking the said tab, you will be redirected to SBI’s payment gateway
- Read all the terms and click the checkbox to proceed for payment
- Now, select the appropriate ‘payment category’ from given options
- Enter your name, select date of birth, gender, subject for GSET and examination center
- Enter your mobile number, email, and remarks (if any)
- Once again, enter your name and select date of birth
- Enter mobile number and the text as shown in the image
- Click on the ‘Submit’ tab
- Click on the ‘Confirm’ tab
- Select any payment option from given ones
- Make the payment and take a print out of auto-generated examination fee receipt after successful transaction
- You will receive a ‘SB Collect Reference Number’
- Note it down carefully for online registration of your application form
Step 2 Online Registration for GSET examination
- Go to GSET’s website once more
- Find and click on ‘Step II Register Online for GSET Examination’ tab
- You will see a new page having ‘Important Instructions’
- Read all the instructions carefully
- Now, enter SB Collect reference number and select date of birth
- Click checkbox then ‘Submit’ tab
- Enter your personal details like name, category, etc.
- Select subject, center, etc
- Scanned and upload passport (PP) size photograph
- submit the application form
- After successful submission and confirmation, you must take a printout of filled online Application Form on A-4 size paper only
Note :- Fee submitted through any other mode like demand draft, money order, IPO, etc. will not be accepted.
GSET 2020 Exam Pattern and Syllabus
GSET 2020 will consist of 2 papers having objective type questions. There is no provision of negative marking.

Paper I will be designed to test general awareness, comprehension, divergent thinking, reasoning ability of the candidate. In paper I, MCQs will be of general nature, planned to evaluate the teaching/research aptitude of the applicant.

GSET Exam Date and Centres
The 13th Gujarat State Eligibility Test will be conducted on September 30th, 2020 (Sunday) at 11 examination centers across the state. Names of examination centers are Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Bhuj, Valsad, Junagadh, Godhra, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Bhavnagar, and Patan.
GSET2020 Admit Card
Candidates who have applied can download GSET Admit Card 2020 from the website www.gujaratset.ac.in 7 days prior to examination day. Venue of the examination and other important details are printed on the hall ticket.
