IBPS RRB Officer Syllabus 2021 : IBPS RRB PO 2021 exam pattern consists of Prelim, Main Exam, and Interview. IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II and III exam pattern consists of a Single exam followed by an Interview. - IBPS RRB Notification has been released on 7th June 2021 and interested candidates can complete the online registration of application form between 8th June – 28th June 2021.
- Prelim Admit cards will be issued in online mode in July 2021 onwards and the Preliminary examination for Officer Scale I will be held on 1,7,8,14,15th August 2021.
- A single examination for Officers Scale II & III and Officer Scale I Main exam will be held on 25 Sep 2021. The interview will be held in Nov 2021.
IBPS RRB Officer Exam Pattern 2021
For IBPS RRB PO/ Officer Scale-I, the recruitment process is conducted in 3 stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. However, for the Officer’s Scale-II, the entire process of recruitment will be completed through a single exam followed by an Interview.

IBPS RRB PO/Officer Scale I Prelim Exam Pattern
- The preliminary examination for Officer Scale I will be conducted online, consists of 2 tests – Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.
- Each test will have 40 objective-type questions, each with 1 mark. The total no. of questions will be 80 for 80 marks.
- Candidates will get a composite time of 45 minutes to solve all 80 MCQs of both sections/tests. MCQs will be in both Hindi and English.
- For every incorrect answer, 1/4th of marks allotted to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
- Candidates have to qualify in both the tests by securing minimum cut-off marks in each test, hence there is a sectional cut-off.
- To be shortlisted for Online Main Examination, candidates who appear for the online preliminary examination will have to score minimum cut-off marks in both tests. Minimum cut-off marks will be decided by IBPS after considering overall & category-wise vacancies.

IBPS RRB PO/Officer Scale I Main Exam Pattern
- Candidates who manage to qualify in both the tests of the Preliminary examination of Officer Scale I will be called to appear for the Main examination to be held online.
- The Main exam consists of tests of Computer Knowledge, Hindi or English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.
- Each test will have Objective type questions to be solved in a composite time of 2 hours.
- The total no. of MCQs will be 200 for 200 marks.
- For every incorrect answer, 1/4th of marks allotted to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
- Candidates have to score minimum cut-off marks in each test to qualify the main examination. There is a sectional cut-off along with an overall cut off.

- For IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer) and Scale III, a single level exam will be conducted online
- There will be 5 tests in the Main exam for the posts of Officer Scale-II and III. Each test will have 40 questions.
- Total questions will be 200 for a maximum of 200 marks
- There will be a composite time of 2 hours
- For every incorrect answer, 1/4th of marks allotted to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
- Candidates need to score minimum cut off marks in each test of online single examination along with overall cut off decided by IBPS to be considered for shortlisting for interview.

Single level Examination for Officer Scale-II (Specialist Cadre)
- For the IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II Specialist cadre, a single level exam will be conducted online
- There will be a total of 5 tests in the Main exam for the posts of Officer Scale-II Specialist cadre. Each test will have 40 questions.
- Total questions will be 200 for a maximum of 200 marks
- Composite time of 2 hours and 30 minutes will be given
- For every incorrect answer, 1/4th of marks allotted to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
- Candidates will have to score minimum cut off marks in each test of online single examination along with overall cut off to be considered for shortlisting for interview.

Penalty For Wrong Answers
Penalty for wrong answers will be applicable to all examinations/tests to be conducted for Officers Scale I, II & III. For every incorrect answer, 1/4th of marks allotted to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
Interview
The final stage of selection will be an interview for all posts of IBPS RRB Officers (Scale I, II, and III). Interviews will be conducted by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with the help of IBPS and NABARD at few selected centers only. Candidates shortlisted for interview will be informed through a call letter having details like center name, address, date & time of interview.
Interviews will be conducted for 100 marks and to qualify it, candidates will have to score at least 40% marks (35% for PWD / OBC / SC / ST candidates). While coming for the interview, candidates must bring the following documents in original and self-attested photocopies.
- A printed copy of the valid Interview call letter and online application form registered for CRP RRBs – IX
- Any photo ID proof
- Proof of date of birth
- Marksheets / certificates of academic qualifications
- Caste certificate (for SC / ST / OBC category candidates)
- Experience certificates (if any)

IBPS RRB Selection Process
Officer Scale I
Candidates who successfully applied for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I have to appear for the Preliminary examination, which is a screening test and only qualifying in nature, and the marks scored in the prelims are not taken into consideration during the final selection.
On scoring the cut off marks in the prelims to be decided by IBPS, the candidates will become eligible to appear in the Main Exam. The candidates who clear the main exam will appear in the interview round. Marks obtained by candidates in the main examination and interview will be considered for final merit.
