Indian Overseas Bank SO 2021 – Apply Online, Application Form : IOB SO notification 2021 has been released on 8th February 2021 to invite online applications from qualified candidates for the several vacancies of Specialist Officers such as manager & senior manager in MMG scale II & III in Indian Overseas Bank.
Candidates who want to apply for Specialist Officers are required to submit an online application at the website www.iob.in between the 8th February to the 20th February 2021. IOB will shortlist applicants through a national level online examination followed by an interview.

IOB SO 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying to any of the aforementioned posts, aspirants are requested to read the advertisement carefully to make sure that they are fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions. Below we have mentioned few important eligibility conditions.
Nationality / Citizenship
- An applicant should be an Indian citizen or
- A subject of Bhutan / Nepal (or)
- Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1st Jan 1962
- Person of Indian origin who were migrated to India from East African countries, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka with an intention of permanently settling in India
2, 3, 4 categories must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Indian Government.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit
Candidates belonging to certain categories will get relaxation in the upper age limit as given below.
- For OBCs – 3 years
- For SC / ST candidates – 5 years
- For persons having physical disabilities – 10 years
- For commissioned officers/ex-servicemen who have done 5 or more years military service – 5 years
- For persons who were living in Kashmir part of J&K state during 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989 – 5 years
IOB SO 2021 Application Fee & Mode Of Payment
Applicants belonging to SC / ST & PwD categories will have to pay an amount of Rs. 100/- only towards intimation charges. Applicants belonging to all other categories including OBC will have to pay an amount of Rs. 500/- towards IOB SO application fee & intimation charges.
All the applicants are required to pay application fee/intimation charges online by using credit/debit cards or an internet banking service. After making payment, applicants must print ‘E-Receipt’. Applicants must know that application fee/intimation charges are non-refundable & non-transferable under any circumstances.

- Click on the ‘Careers’ link; it is available at the end of the homepage
- You will see a new page having ‘Careers’ heading
- On this page, you will see several links
- Find and click on ‘LINK IN www.iob.in for APPLYING for Recruitment’ link
- A new page will be opened having post name with their ‘Apply online’ links
- Click the respective button available against the Post name for which you want to apply (you can apply for more than 1 post)
- Once again, click the link ‘Click here to apply online’
- You will see a registration page
- Enter your personal details such as full name, father’s / mother’s names, etc.
- Select your category, date of birth, and other options
- Enter your contact details like mobile no. & email address
- Type your permanent as well as a correspondence address
- Enter your education qualification details (as of 1st February 2021)
- Enter details of your relevant work experience
- Provide languages details
- Upload scanned copies of your photo & signature in either JPG or JPEG format

IOB SO 2021 Online Examination
IOB SO exam will be a computer-based test having objective-type questions. Online examination will be conducted in the following cities- New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai & Mumbai. While coming for the online exam, aspirants must bring a self-attested photocopy & original copy of their valid photo ID and admit card otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
IOB SO 2021 Selection Process
The entire selection process will consist of an online examination and Interview. Candidates qualified in the online exam will be called for a personal interview. The final selection for the aforementioned posts will be done on the order of merit. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by aspirants in online examination & interview.
IOB SO 2021 Interview
Candidates qualified in the online examination will be called for a personal interview to be conducted at any center (s) across India of the Bank’s choice. IOB will send a call letter for the personal interview through mail only. Details of the interview such as date, venue, time, etc. will be printed on the interview call letter. A list of documents to be presented by candidates at the time of the interview is given below

- All the mark sheets/certificates of educational qualifications
- Original certificates of other preferred qualifications such as CISA / DISA etc.

IOB SO 2021 Call Letter
Firstly, Indian Overseas Bank will shortlist candidates as per the prescribed eligibility conditions and send them a call letter for online examination through email. Call letter will be printed with details of online examination such as the name of the examination center with address & pin code, date, time, etc.
Indian Overseas Bank SO 2021 Result
Online written exam results will be declared first and a personal interview will be conducted. Final results will be published on IOB’s website after a few days of personal interviews.
