JEE Advanced 2018 official notification has been released and made available on official website. In India, there are total 31 NITs (National Institute of technology) and 20 IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) running with several undergraduate engineering and architecture courses. To get admission in any of the course in any NIT or IIT, a candidate have to clear the JEE exam. JEE also known as Joint Entrance Examination, is one of the most highly rated and challenging undergraduate entrance exams in India. JEE exam is exclusively conducted for filling seats in IITs, NITs and other central funded colleges/institutes. Previously, JEE was known by other name, AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination). Every year, JEE Main is organized and monitored by the India’s prestigious educational body, the central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts JEE Main exam and the JEE advanced formerly IIT-JEE conducted by any of the IIT under the guidance of JAB/ Joint Admission board. Candidates wish to study in any of the above mentioned colleges need to appear and qualify both the stages. Here, we will introduce our readers with JEE Advanced.
Every year, the JEE Advanced exam is organized and conducted by any of the IITs. This year in 2018, the JEE Advanced exam is conducted by IIT Kanpur. The final performance of the candidates in JEE Advanced 2018 exam will form the base for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s as well as Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

JEE Advanced 2018 Eligibility Criteria
There are total five criteria set for candidates to be appearing in JEE Advanced 2018 exam. Each of them is explained below in great detail:
- Performance in JEE (Main) 2018
The first criteria is the performance of a candidate in JEE (Main) 2018. The JEE Advanced exam 2018 recruitment authorities already declared that only candidates among 2,24,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018 are eligible for JEE Advanced exam 2018. However, reservation will be applicable as per the government of India rules. Category-wise distribution of top 2,24,000* candidates are given below in the table:

- Age-limit and relaxation
The second criterion is Age-limit. Students who were born on or after 01.10.1993 are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2018 exam. However, there is also a provision of age relaxation in case if a candidate belongs to any special category.

- Number of attempts
The third eligibility criterion is the number of attempts. The candidates can appear in JEE Advanced only for two times in consecutive years. The candidates must have emerged for the Class XII (or equivalent) exam for the first time in either 2018 or 2017.
- Participated in Class XII (or equivalent) examination
Candidate going to appear for JEE advanced 2018 should have participated in class 12th or equivalent examination for the 1st time in either 2018 or 2017.
- Earlier admission at IITs
Candidates selected in past at any of the IITs but not continued in the program are not permitted to appear in JEE Advanced 2018.

JEE Advanced Exam 2018 Registration Fee and Mode Of Payment
Only online fee will be accepted for JEE Advanced 2018 application. So, candidates are advised to pay the registration fee through a debit/credit card or net banking. Candidates can also pay their application fee through SBI Challan mode. The fee is neither transferable nor refundable. The fee details are given below:

JEE Advanced Exam 2018 Registration
To apply for JEE Advanced 2018, candidates need to register themselves at JEE Advanced exam’s official website. Here’s the link of website www.jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates note down that JEE Advanced 2018 Registration will be started from the 4th week of April 2018. Candidates will have to fill & submit the application form till the 1st week of May 2018. No other mode will be entertained to get the JEE Advanced application form. While registration, a candidate will require to upload his/her scanned images in a given format. Candidates are requested to keep the printout of the JEE Advanced Application Form 2018 for future use.
Note – Candidates are advised to fill their application form correctly as no correction will be allowed after form submission.
JEE Advanced 2018 Admit Card
JEE advanced 2018 registered candidates can download their admit card in between Monday, May 14, 2018, 10:00 IST to Sunday, May 20, 2018, 09:00 IST from JEE advanced official website.
JEE advanced 2018 admit card will have the following details such as name along with the address of the examination centre allotted to the candidate, candidate’s name, photograph, signature, date of birth, roll number for JEE (Advanced) 2018, category and address for correspondence.
JEE Advanced 2018 Exam Pattern
Candidates remember that JEE Advanced 2018 exam mode is Online (fully computer based). So, they prepare themselves with time management etc. Online JEE Advanced 2018 exam will be divided into two papers (Paper 1 & 2). Candidates have to appear in both papers. Question paper will be available in both the languages-Hindi and English. The duration of each paper will be 3 hours. Both the question papers consist of multiple choice questions. Paper 1 & 2 will be divided into three separate sections of Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
JEE Advanced 2018 Syllabus
