Kerala TET Eligibility Criteria 2021
In order to become eligible to apply for Kerala TET 2021, candidates should possess some minimum qualifications. Those candidates who have the following mentioned qualifications will be able to apply for Kerala TET 2021.
Nationality
Only those candidates, who are Indian citizens, will be able to apply for Kerala TET 2021.
Age Limit
There is no age limit set by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan for the candidates who are willing to apply for the Kerala TET 2021. As long as the candidates fulfill all the eligibility requirements, they will be able to apply for the Kerala TET 2021 irrespective of their age.
Educational Qualification
The candidates who will be applying for the Kerala TET 2021 will have the option to choose from any of the 4 Papers, which will be conducted for 4 different levels. The minimum educational qualification required will vary according to the paper that the candidate will select. The minimum required educational qualification is mentioned below
Paper/ Category I – Lower Primary Teacher
Candidate must have completed class 12th or equivalent with minimum 50% marks and have 4 year Bachelors of Elementary Education degree or 2 year diploma in Special Education.

Have completed class 12th or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks and have 2 year Trained Teachers’ Certificate or 2 year diploma in Elementary Education.
Paper /Category II – Upper Primary Teacher
He/ She have completed class 12th or equivalent with at least 50% marks and have 4 year BA/B.Sc. or Education degree
OR
Have completed class 12th or equivalent with 50% marks and have 4 year Bachelors of Elementary Education
OR
Have BA/B.Sc./B.Com degree and 2 year diploma in Elementary Education or 2 year Trained Teachers’ Certificate
OR
The candidate should have a BA/B.Sc./B.Com degree with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelors of Education degree
Paper/ Category III – High School Teacher
Aspiring candidate must have M.Sc. Ed. in Math, physics, chemistry, botany & zoology with 50% marks
OR
Candidate applying for Zoology & Botany must have M.Sc. Ed. in Life Science with a minimum of 50% marks
OR
The candidate should have a BA/B.Sc./B.Com degree with at least 45% marks and Bachelors of Education Degree
Paper /Category IV – Language Teacher
The candidates who want to apply for the Paper IV of the Kerala TET 2021 should possess the minimum qualification as mentioned in Chapter 31 of the Kerala Education Act
Note: A relaxation of 5% in the minimum required marks will be given to the candidates who belong to the SC/ST/PwD category.

Kerala TET Application Fee
The payment of the Kerala TET application fee 2021 can be made through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or Bank Challan only. The candidates who belong to ST/SC/PwD categories will have to pay Rs. 250/- and all the other candidates will have to make the payment of Rs. 500/- to apply for Kerala TET 2021.
