Aspirants of management programmes should start preparation as MAT 2019 schedule has been released by All India Management Association (AIMA). This moment, online registration process is going on for MAT 2019 to be held on September 15, 2018 [PBT Phase 2 & CBT]. The last date for online registration for MAT 2019 PBT Phase 2 & CBT is September 08, 2018 (Saturday).

MAT 2019 Exam Pattern

MAT 2019 exam pattern is one of the foremost things about which you are required to know. It is so because the first thing you see when you will appear for MAT 2019 is the format of paper (aka exam pattern). If you are already familiar with MAT 2019 exam pattern then you will easily manage to crack MAT 2019. But in case, if you are not aware of exam pattern then things will not work in a way as you have wished for.

  • On September 15, 2018 (Saturday), MAT 2019 exam will be held in both online and offline modes
  • MAT 2019 covers 200 objective type questions to be solved in 150 minutes
  • MCQs will be distributed in 5 sections
  • Each section will have equal no. of MCQs i.e. 40
  • For each incorrect answer, ¼ marks will be deducted

MAT 2019 Exam Syllabus

Section I – Language Comprehension

In this section, aspirants will have to solve 40 MCQs in 30 minutes (suggested time). MCQs in this section are based on English proficiency, English grammar, para jumble, reading comprehension, antonyms, synonyms and fill in the blanks.

You can prepare yourself for this section by reading English books, newspapers, novels etc. Along with that, you can also go through English grammar books of class 8th, 9th & 10th to learn basics of English grammar. On top of that, focus on adding new English words in your vocabulary.

MAT 2019 Selection Process / Admission Procedure

Through scores of September 2018 MAT, candidates can opt for admission to various management courses / programmes of over 150 institutes / universities. However, the process of admission at each institute / university will be different. Some business schools / colleges / universities will prefer only MAT score for taking admission to their management programmes. While other, along with considering MAT scores, also prefer to conduct few pre-admission rounds such as Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) for admissions.
