NHTET 2021 Notification (July – October) will be released in September 2021 @http://nchm.nic.in/nhtet. National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test (NHTET) will be conducted by National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) on all India basis in 16 centres on 06 Oct 2021. Candidates who want to be eligible for Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Associates in NCHMCT affiliated IHMs are required to qualify NHTET.
The online portal to apply for NHTET will open in September 2021. But before applying online, interested candidates are required to date of release of NHTET notification 2021, eligibility conditions, application procedure, fees, admit card, exam pattern & syllabus, date of the test, NHTET test centres, answer key, result, minimum / qualifying marks etc.

NHTET notification will be released in Sept 2021 through the web portal of NCHMCT i.e. www.thims.gov.in. NHTET Notification pdf 2021 will be released on the official website. Interested candidates can download and check the details of NHTET.
About NHTET
Qualifying NHTET is the minimum eligibility for employment of teachers in hospitality education. NHTET qualified candidates are eligible to apply for Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Associates in NCHMCT affiliated IHMs.
NHTET is conducted once in an academic year (sometimes twice in a year) on all India basis in more than 15 cities. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed for NHTET can apply by submitting an application form online on the portal www.thims.gov.in.

NHTET Eligibility
Candidates who will be applying for NHTET 2021 must fulfil the following eligibility to appear for NHTET
Age limit
The age limit should not be more than 30 years. Relaxation of age by 3 years for those belonging to the OBC category, 5 years for those belonging to SC/ST/PD categories is applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualification
Full-time Master’s Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Administration with a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Administration and obtained minimum 60% marks either in Master or Bachelor’s degree
OR
Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Administration with at least 60% marks and after obtaining a degree, 2 years work experience in the Hospitality Industry

NHTET Application Form 2021
NHTET 2021 Application form will be available online on the portal www.thims.gov.in in the first week of September 2021. The last date to apply online will be the last week of September 2021.
How To Fill NHTET 2021 Application Form?
- Open NHTET 2021 application page
- Fill in your personal details such as name, father’s / mother’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID etc.
- Enter DD number
- Enter the details of your educational qualifications
- Enter the details of your work experience (if applicable)
- Upload scanned copy of your latest passport size coloured photo
- Upload scanned copy of your valid ID card (acceptable IDs are Passport / Driving Licence / Voter ID / PAN Card / Adhar Card)
- Recheck all the details entered by you and make changes, if required
- Submit the application form and then print the confirmation page
Application Fee
Male candidates of General / OBC categories are required to pay an amount of Rs. 800/- towards online application fee whereas female candidates of all categories and candidates of SC/ST/PD categories are required to pay an amount of Rs. 400/- towards the same.
Mode Of Payment
Candidates who want to apply for NHTET 2021 will be needed to get a DD from any approved bank before filling in the online application form. DD comes with a number that should be filled by candidates in the online form.

After filling in the online application, candidates will have to mail a printout of their online application along with the demand draft to NCHMCT by registered post or speed post.
NHTET Exam Pattern & Syllabus
NHTET consists of three papers. Each paper will have objective type questions. NHTET will be conducted on a single day in 2 separate sessions. NHTET scheme has been given below

- Each MCQ in all papers will be of 2 marks
- For each wrong answer or for double attempted, ½ mark will be deducted
- Questions in the Paper I will be set to test reasoning ability, comprehension, aptitude and method towards teaching, general awareness/ knowledge and divergent thinking of the candidate
- Paper II will have MCQs from hotel accounts, General Management, food science and nutrition
- Paper III will have MCQs from the 4 core areas of hospitality i.e. House Keeping Management, Accommodation Operation Management, F & B Service and Management and Food Production
NHTET Admit Card 2021
NHTET admit card will be available to download from the portal 5 days before the examination date. Admit Card will not be sent by post or courier to any candidate.
Candidates who will be appearing for NHTET 2021 must have a printout of admit card and a photo ID card in the original same as uploaded in the application form otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
NHTET Answer Key
After the NHTET exam, preliminary answer keys will be uploaded on www.thims.gov.in, so that candidates can challenge it with documentary proof within 5 days’ time by writing a mail to diraf-nchm@nic.in.
After considering the challenges by an expert committee, a final answer key will be uploaded to the same website within the next 5 working days.

NHTET Certificate
Candidates who qualify as per the above-mentioned conditions will get an NHTET certificate. Certificate validity will be up to the candidate’s maximum age limit prescribed to the post of Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Associates at NCHMCT’s affiliated IHMs.
