- RRB JE CBT 1 will have objective questions with multiple choices from the subjects of Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science.
- RRB JE CBT 2 exam will have objective questions with multiple choices from the subjects of General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control, and Technical abilities.
Candidates can get an idea about the syllabus and nature of questions for the test from the past question papers of the computer-based test conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board for the recruitment of Junior Engineers. Once they complete the preparation, candidates can take up mock tests to improve their accuracy in the test. Brief Structure
- The computer-based test for recruiting Junior Engineers by the Railway Recruitment Board is an objective-type test conducted in 2 stages.
- RRB JE CBT 1 will have 100 questions for 100 marks for 90 minutes. RRB JE CBT 2 test will have 150 questions for 150 marks for 120 min.
- CBT 1 will be screening in nature for selecting candidates for CBT 2 stage and not be considered in final merit.

It is expected that the computer-based test will be conducted in June 2021.
Selection Process
After the computer-based test of stage 1, candidates will be shortlisted for CBT 2. Finally, candidates will be recruited after document verification. In addition, only candidates getting through the medical test from an approved medical officer will alone be placed in the Railway Recruitment Board Junior Engineer and other positions associated with this recruitment.
