- Candidates who will successfully apply for the SBI Clerk 2021 have to appear for SBI Clerk Preliminary exam to be conducted on 10, 11, 12, 13 July 2021.
- It will be an online test having 100 questions for 100 marks. The Paper will be divided into 3 sections, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and English Language.
- The Preliminary Exam will consist of Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions.
- To solve all the questions, candidates will get 1 hour (20 minutes to solve each section).
- There will be negative marking for the wrong answers as a penalty. 1/4th mark allotted to the question will be deducted for the wrong answer.
- No marks will be deducted for any unanswered questions.
- Questions will be in both English and Hindi (except for the English Language section).

- The Main exam will be conducted for only those candidates who qualify the SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam
- SBI Clerk Main Exam will consist of objective type MCQs
- There will be 190 questions for 200 marks
- Candidates will get 2 hours 40 minutes to answer all the questions
- There will be a different time limit for each section of the SBI Clerk Main Exams
- 1/4th marks will be deducted for any incorrect answer
- There will be no penalty for any unanswered questions
- Except for the English Language section, all questions in SBI Clerk Main Exam will be bilingual i.e. in both Hindi and English

SBI Clerk 2021 Language Test
Candidates qualified for selection will have to produce evidence (class 10th or 12th mark sheet/ certificate) having studied the opted local language will be exempted from appearing in the Language test.
Those candidates who qualified for selection but not have studied opted local language in the 10th or 12th standard will have to appear for a local language test to be conducted after the provisional selection round but before joining.
Note – Candidates not found to be proficient in the local language opted by them would be disqualified.

Provisional Selection
- Marks obtained by candidates in Phase I Preliminary examination will not be considered for the selection but will be used for shortlisting candidates for the Main examination.
- The aggregate marks obtained by candidates in the Main examination will be used for preparing a final merit list.
- Provisional selection will be made on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the SBI Clerk’s Main examination.

SBI Clerk Final Selection
The final selection of candidates will be subject to,
- Verification of documents as per the eligibility for the post and information provided in the online application
- Qualifying in local language test (if applicable)
- Medical Examination
SBI Clerk Probation Period
Candidates who get selected in the final selection round will remain under probation for a period of 6 months. Their employment will only be confirmed after given satisfactory performance during the probation period. If the candidate fails to meet the performance standards of SBI Bank then their probation period might get extended.
SBI Clerk Result Declaration
SBI Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) 2021 result declaration dates will be announced in due course. But it is expected that SBI will declare Preliminary results in July 2021 and the Main examination results in August 2021.
Candidates qualifying in Phase I i.e. Preliminary examination have to appear in the Phase II examination followed by a regional language test. After a few weeks from the date of the Prelim/ Main examination, SBI will release the result. All the candidates are required to know that SBI will announce and publish both Phase I & II results on its website.
