Southern Railway Safaiwala Recruitment 2021 – Apply Online, Notification, Admit Card

Southern Railway Safaiwala 2021 Application Form : Southern Railway invites online applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Safaiwala against 257 vacancies. Selection will be made through a Screening test followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). To take part, you will have to submit an online application before the last date of registration.

Southern Railway Safaiwala notification will be released on 27 July 2021 by Assistant Personnel Officer / Engg. and made available on the website of RRC, SR.

As per the official notification, the total no. of notified posts is 257. Out of which, 19 vacancies are reserved for ST candidates, 39 are for SCs, 69 for OBCs, and 130 for general (UR) candidates.

Southern Railway Safaiwala 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 1 Jan 2021)

• Minimum age – 18 years
• Maximum age – 33 years

Relaxation In Upper Age Limit

• For SC / ST applicants – up to 5 years
• For OBC non-creamy layer applicants – up to 3 years
• For persons with disability – up to 10 years

Essential Educational Qualification

Applicant must have passed class 10th or equivalent examinations from any state / central education board.

Southern Railway Safaiwala 2021 Exam Fee & Mode Of Payment

• All women, persons with a disability, economically backward & minority applicants, candidates belonging to ST / SC/categories will have to pay an amount of Rs. 250/- towards examination fee. However, this fee will be refunded to all such applicants who will appear in the screening test.
• UR / OBC candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs. 500/- towards examination fee. An amount of Rs. 400/- will be refunded to such candidates who will appear in the screening test.
• The mode of payment is online. For more details, please refer to the official notification.

Note – No refund of the examination fee will be applicable for those who will not appear in the screening test.

Southern Railway Safaiwala 2021 Application Form & Process

Application forms for the post of Safaiwala will be available online at the website of Railway Recruitment Cell, Southern Railway. The last date to apply online is 27 August 2021 up to 5:00 PM. The application process is explained below

• Open RRC, SR’s official website
• On the homepage, you will see a few sections
• Find and click on the tab ‘Click here to apply’ available under the section ‘Engagement of Safaiwala on Contract Basis’
• A new page will be opened having three tabs
• To read full notification, click on the respective tab otherwise click on the ‘Register’ tab
• Registration is mandatory for each aspirant
• For online registration, click on ‘Proceed To Next Page’
• Read all the instructions
• Accept declaration then click on ‘Click Here To Fill New Application Form’
• Enter your personal details such as full name, father’s name, mobile no., email address, etc.
• Click on the tab ‘Proceed to Next Page’
• Type your address for communication
• Select state & district
• Enter your pin code and Aadhaar no.
• Click on the tab ‘Proceed to Next Page’
• Enter your class 10th or equivalent qualification details like certificate no.
• Click on the tab ‘Proceed to Next Page’
• Select your date of birth and other options
• Enter your bank account details for a refund of the examination fee
• Click on the tab ‘Proceed to Preview Application’
• You will see all your filled details
• Type the exact characters as shown in the image
• You can make changes (if required) by clicking on the tab ‘Correct / Modify Details’
• To proceed further click on tab ‘One-Time Password’
• Instantly, you will receive an OTP to your mobile phone
• Submit One-Time Password
• You will see a new page having your transaction ID and very important steps
• Print acknowledgment by clicking on the respective tab; same time, you will also receive a registration confirmation mail
• Then, read all the very important steps and click on the tab ‘Pay Online’ to deposit the examination fee
• Pay your examination fee by using a credit card or debit card or internet banking service or through wallet/cash cards
• Print e-receipt

Southern Railway Safaiwala 2021 Selection Process

• Screening test – It will have 50 MCQs to be solved in 45 minutes. MCQs shall be on the educational qualification prescribed for the post. The mode of the test will be either online or offline.
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Candidates qualified in screening test will be called for PET. It will be a qualifying test. In this test, a candidate will have to carry a weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in 1 chance without putting the weight down. For males – 35 kgs of weight & for women – 20 kgs of weight
• The final selection of candidates for the vacancies of Safaiwala will be made on the basis of the order of merit in the screening test

Call letters for screening test shall be available to download at RRC SR’s website before few days of examination. The process to download the call letter is given below

• Step 1 Open the official website or click here
• Step 2 Click on the tab ‘Download Call Letter’ available under the section ‘Safaiwala on Contract Basis’
• Step 3 Enter your name & date of birth
• Step 4 Click on tab ‘Submit’
• Step 5 Your call letter will be displayed; download then print it

Southern Railway Safaiwala 2021 Result

Results of the screening test shall be displayed on the website after few days from the date of the test. To check, applicants will have to visit the official website.
