SSC CGL 2022 [Apply Online & Application Form] : SSC CGL 2022 Notification will be released on 29 December 2021 for the vacancies of Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts available in several Organizations/Departments/Ministries in the Government of India. SSC CGL Application Form 2022 will be released online and candidates can check eligibility criteria to apply online for the vacant posts.
SSC CGL 2022 selection process will have four tiers – Tier I and Tier II will be computer-based examinations whereas Tier III will be a descriptive paper held in Pen and Paper mode. Tier IV will be a computer proficiency test/skill test (wherever applicable)/document verification.
- Interested candidates can submit SSC CGL Application Form online from 29 Dec 2021 and the last date to apply online is 31 Jan 2022 up to 23:30 hours.
- The last date for making an online fee payment is 2 Feb 2022 up to 23:30 hrs, whereas challan can be generated up to 4 Feb 2022 (23:30 hrs), and fees through Challan can be paid up to 6 Feb 2022.
- SSC CGL Tier I exam will be held from 29th May 2022 to 7th June 2022 and the answer key will be published on 15th June/July 2022.
- SSC CGL Tier II and Tier III exam is scheduled will be notified later.
- The final selection of candidates will be on the basis of aggregate marks secured by them in Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III tests subject to qualifying in Tier IV along with the preference of posts given by the candidate either online or at the time of DV.

Candidates who want to apply for SSC CGL 2022 must aware of the eligibility conditions as mentioned below.

A candidate must be either a citizen of India (or)
A subject of Nepal / Bhutan (or)
A person of Indian origin who has migrated (or)
A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01 Jan 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India (or)

SSC CGL Educational Qualification 2022 (As on 01 Jan 2022)
Junior Statistical Officer
Candidates applying for the Junior Statistical Officer profile should have a graduation degree in any field from a recognized Institute or University with a minimum of 60% marks in Math at an intermediate level. (OR)
Must have a graduation degree in any discipline with statistics as one of the subjects at graduation level
Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer
A candidate applying to Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer must have a graduation degree in any field from a recognized Institute or University. However, desirable qualifications for this job post will be Masters in Business Economics or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Commerce or Company Secretary or Cost & Management Accountant or Chartered Accountant.
For confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit/ Accounts Officer, direct recruits will have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination” in respective branches during the period of probation.
Statistical Investigator Grade – II
Completed graduation course in any discipline with Statistics as one of the Subjects. Statistics must be studied as a subject in all the 3 years of the graduation course.
All Other Posts
A candidate applying to any other post like Junior Accountant, Inspector, Sub Inspector, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Assistant/ Superintendent, Assistant Section Officer, etc. should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent.
Note: An applicant appearing in the last year of his/her bachelor course can also apply, however, s/he should possess essential educational qualifications on or before 01 Jan 2022.
SSC CGL 2022 Application Form
SC CGL application form 2022 will be released on 29 Dec 2021 and the portal is active to apply online for the SSC CGL 2022. The last date for registration of application is 31st Jan 2022 (23:30 hrs). Candidates who want to apply for SSC CGL 2022 will be needed to go through a one-time registration process.
SSC CGL 2022: How To Apply Online?
Steps to follow to complete the one-time registration process have been given below
Part I Registration
- Open SSC’s official website or click here
- On the homepage, find and click on ‘New user? Register Now’ link
- Enter and verify your basic details link ‘Aadhaar No’ or any other ID no., name, father’s / mother’s names, date of birth, gender, mobile no. and email ID
- Don’t forget to enter and verify your matriculation/class X examination details
- Check all the entered details then click on tab ‘Save’
- Confirm your mobile number and email ID
- Your registration number will be displayed on the screen; you will also get your registration number and password on your email ID & mobile number
- Login using your ID and password and change the password, when prompted (only when you will log in for the first time)
- After changing your password, login again using your ID and a new password
- Your already filled registration will appear; check all the details then click on tab ‘Next’
- Select your ‘Category’ and ‘Nationality’
- Write identification marks
- Enter rest details such as permanent & present address, the status of physical disability, etc.
- Click on tab ‘Save’
- Upload scanned files of your photo and signature
- Read and accept the statement of declaration
- Click on the tab ‘Final Submit’; meanwhile, you will receive 2 different OTPs on your mobile number and email ID
- Enter and submit any one OTP
- Your registration is completed now
Part II Online Application Submission
After going through the online registration process, candidates will have to fill and submit an online application to apply for SSC CGL 2022. Steps to follow to complete the process of application submission have been given below
- Open the website of SSC
- Login using your registered ID and password
- On the dashboard under ‘Latest Notifications’, you will see details and links related to ongoing recruitment events
- Find and click on the ‘Apply’ link available under the ‘Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2022’
- Your half-filled application will open up
- Select examination centers
- Select other details
- Select your highest education qualification
- Read and accept the statement of declaration
- Submit all the details and go to the next step to make payment online or to generate Challan (in case, you want to make the payment offline)
- After making payment online or generating challan, print your application
SSC CGL Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 100/- towards SSC CGL application fee. However, female candidates (of all categories) and candidates belonging to the SC / ST category, persons with a disability, and ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of the fee.
Candidates eligible for payment of application fees can pay fees in both online and offline modes. To pay the fee online, they are required to use credit/debit cards, BHIM UPI, or internet banking.
To pay fees offline, candidates are required to generate a Challan and submit it along with the fee in cash at any nearest branch of SBI.

SSC CGL 2022 Exam Pattern
- SSC CGL 2022 exam will be held in 4 tiers – Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4.
- The candidate will have to attend in Tier I exam, upon qualifying, they need to appear in Tier II and III.
- Candidates qualifying in Tier-II will be considered for the evaluation of Tier III.
- Candidates qualifying in Tier III and scoring the minimum prescribed aggregate marks in Tier I, II, and III will have to appear in Tier IV which is a qualifying test.
Tier I
- Candidates who successfully apply for SSC CGL 2022 will be called to appear for the Tier I examination.
- It will be a computer-based examination having four sections namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, English Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
- Each section will have an equal number of MCQs i.e. 25. So, the total number of MCQs will be 100 and each MCQ will be 2 marks.
- Candidates will get a total of 60 minutes (1 hr. 20 minutes for those who are allowed the use of scribe) to solve 100 MCQs.
- On selecting a wrong answer, the candidate will lose 0.50 marks under the provision of negative marking.

Tier II

- Paper IV is Only for those candidates who apply for ‘Assistant Accounts Officer / Assistant Audit Officer’ posts
- Paper-II – English Language & Comprehension will have 200 MCQs of 200 marks. The rest of the papers will have 100 MCQs of 200 marks.
- To solve each paper, candidates will get 120 minutes (2 hours and 40 minutes for those who are allowed the use of scribe).
- A negative marking system will be applicable in each paper. For selecting a wrong answer in Paper-II, a candidate will lose 0.25 marks. In the rest of the papers i.e. Paper I, III & IV, 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Tier III
- Tier III examination will be held in pen and paper mode. It will be a descriptive paper in English/Hindi.
- Candidates will have to write essays, letters, applications, and Precis. Questions are of 10+2 level.
- Tier III total marks will be 100 which is qualifying in nature. Candidates need to score 33% marks to qualify Tier III.
- The time duration will be 60 minutes (1 hr. 20 minutes for those who are allowed the use of scribe). No negative marking in the Tier III examination.
- Candidates qualifying in Tier-II will only be considered for evaluation of Tier III, the rest of the candidates will be disqualified for further process.
- SSC will prepare a merit list for Tier IV on the basis of candidates’ performance in Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III examinations.

Tier IV
It will be either a Computer Proficiency Test or Data Entry Skill Test (wherever applicable) and Document Verification round. CPT and Data Entry skill test will be only for a few posts, which is qualifying in nature. However, the document verification round will be for all the posts.
- DEST (Data Entry Skill Test) will be conducted for Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax) post in the way to be decided by the Commission.
- CPT (Computer Proficiency Test) will be held for the posts of Assistant Section Officer in SFIO, MEA & AFHQ and CSS, Inspector (Preventive Officer, Examiner & Central Excise) in CBIC and Assistant (GSI) in the Ministry of Mines in the manner to be decided by the commission. It will be qualifying in nature and no PwD candidates are exempted from CPT
- Document Verification will be for all the qualified candidates. At the time of document verification, candidates will have to produce and submit copies of the following documents
- Class X certificate
- Certificates of education qualification
- Other relevant documents such as category/caste certificate, PWD certificate, etc. (if applicable)

SSC CGL Selection Process
- Marks obtained in Tier I CBT will be used for shortlisting of candidates to appear in Tier II & Tier III examinations; there will be separate cut-offs to be decided by the Commission for Paper-I + Paper-II of Tier II (i.e. for all other posts), Paper IV of Tier II (i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer) and Paper-III of Tier II (i.e. for the post of JSO)
- Tier I qualified candidates will be shortlisted for both Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations
- Evaluation of Tier-III Examination will happen on the basis of aggregate performance in Tier I and Tier II examinations
- Evaluation of Tier-III Examination will not be considered of such candidates who fail to qualify in Tier-II examination and they will not be considered for the further selection process
- Aggregate marks obtained in Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III examinations will be considered for shortlisting of candidates to appear in Document Verification and Skill Tests, which is qualifying in nature
- The final merit list will be made on the basis of aggregate marks scored by candidates in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III examinations and preference of posts exercised by them subject to qualifying Tier IV

SSC CGL Admit Card 2022 will be released separately for Tier I / Tier II / Tier III and Tier IV examinations. Q. By When I Can Submit My SSC CGL 2022 Application?
A. From 29 Dec 2021 onwards, candidates can submit their applications to apply for SSC CGL 2022.
Q. Is It Mandatory To Apply Online?
A. Yes, only online applications will be accepted. Applications submitted in other modes will not be accepted by the Commission.
Q. What Is The Application Fee For Female Candidates?
A. Female candidates are exempted from submission of application fees.
Q. What Is The Last Date For Submitting SSC CGL Registration?
A. The last to apply online is 31 January 2022.
Q. Who Are Eligible For Tier II CBT?
A. Candidates who successfully qualify in Tier I CBT will be called to appear in Tier-II CBT and Tier III Descriptive test.
Q. Is There a Facility To Pay The Application Fee Through Demand Draft?
A. No. Application fee must be paid using either online payment options like BHIM UPI / credit card/debit card/internet banking or offline using challan of SBI. The fee paid in any other mode will not be accepted by the Commission.
Q. What Is The Mode Of Tier III Examination?
A. Tier III examination will be conducted in pen and paper mode.
Q. For Which Post, Data Entry Skill Test Will Be Conducted?
A. DEST will be conducted for the ‘Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax)’ post.
