Syndicate Bank PO Syllabus 2021 : The Exam Pattern for the online test for the recruitment of candidates to Syndicate Bank PO position is decided by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. It is the IBPS that conducts the online test for this recruitment. The syllabus is also decided by the IBPS and it will be very much similar to the banking PO examinations conducted by other banks in India and even by the IBPS.
It is expected that the test will be conducted around the third week of February 2021. Candidates will have to prepare well for the online test and only when they score the minimum required percentage that is fixed by the bank, they can take up the descriptive type test.

Brief Structure
The online test for Syndicate Bank PO Recruitment will have both objective and descriptive type test. However, only candidates securing the minimum and more than the minimum marks stated by the Syndicate Bank will be allowed to take up the descriptive test in English. In the objective type test, there will be 50 questions in each section carrying a total of 200 questions conducted for 200 marks.

The order of the objective type test might not be the same as above. In addition to securing the minimum marks stated by the Syndicate Bank in the entire objective type test, candidates will also have to secure the minimum marks stated by the bank in each section to become eligible to take up the descriptive type test. Syndicate Bank PO Exam Dates
Candidates can expect the date of the online test for admissions to the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance Course for ensuring a full-fledged career in Syndicate Bank by joining as probationary officers around the third week of February 2021.
Syndicate Bank PO Selection Process
The Syndicate Bank will select the candidates through a selection process that encompass an open online test followed by GD/ Interview that will be conducted by the IBPS.
- Online test will have objective paper and descriptive paper.
- Persons qualified in objective test will only be allowed to appear in the descriptive test.
- There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer in the objective type test.
- Candidates shortlisted from the objective-type written test will alone be allowed to take part in the descriptive test.
- Descriptive test is of qualifying in nature and 50% marks should be secured by General category candidates in descriptive test and for reserved categories, the qualifying minimum marks are 45%.
- After these two tests, shortlisted candidates will be called for interview/group discussion. Qualifying marks in GD/ Interview will be decided by syndicate bank.
- Final rank will be based on the performance in online objective test and GD/Interview.
The idea of the bank is to select individuals, who are dedicated, bright and are good at communication both written and oral. Also, the bank expects to hire candidates, who can work efficiently in teams and who are passionate about their career goals. In addition, it is expected to hire candidates with a positive attitude and integrity.
The bank will decide the cut-off for the selection to the next round. On the successful selection, candidates will get admission to the PGDBF course. Only on the successful completion of this course at the NITTE Education International Private Limited at Greater Noida/Mangalore or the Manipal Global Education Services Private Limited at Bangalore, candidates will be placed in the PO position with the assurance of a full-fledged career with the Syndicate Bank.
In the process of shortlisting candidates for the further rounds, the bank will arrange the aggregate marks of qualified candidates in the objective test in descending order in each category and in the order of merit. This will happen subject to nearly 5 times the number of vacancies that the bank declares for each category. The candidates shortlisted in this manner will be invited for the interview and/or GD as decided by the bank.
The qualifying marks in the GD and/or interview will also be decided by the bank. The final list of the selection of candidates will be on the basis of performance in the online test and interview/GD. Candidates has to secure at least 50% of marks in the descriptive test to qualify for GD/interview. This percentage required is 45 for reserved category candidates.

A. The course fee will be around Rs.3.5 lakhs, which includes course fee, lodging and boarding and other fee plus taxes as applicable. The bank will inform the successful candidates about any changes in the fee.
Q. Can I Avail Educational Loan For This Course Fee?
A. Yes, you can avail an educational loan for this course under the Synd Vidya Scheme. The EMIs will start from the month you join the bank. During the course period of one year, there will not be any recovery of loan EMIs. The EMIs will be spread over 84 months to ensure easy repayment.
