TN Police Constable Eligibility Criteria 2019

As on 01 July 2019, applicants should have attained the age of 18 years and should not have completed 24 years. However, the upper age limit for the candidates belonging to the following categories is different as shown below

TNUSRB Police Constable Exam Pattern / Selection Procedure
TNUSRB recruitment 2019 for Police Constable, Fireman and Jail Warder consists of 5 stages as follows
Stage 1 : Written Examination
The written exam will have objective type questions from the following subjects / topics. Written exam will be held on 14th July 2019 tentatively.

Stage 2 : Physical Measurement Test
Candidates passed in written examination will be called to appear for Stage 2 Physical Measurement Test. For PMT, candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:5. This test will be an important part of the selection criteria. Though it is only qualifying in nature and no marks are awarded for it. Check out the following details.

Stage 3 : Endurance Test
Candidates who qualify in stage 2 PMT will have to go through an endurance test. Candidates who fail in endurance test will not be eligible for next stage of the selection process. The endurance test will encompass the following
- Women- running 400 mtrs in 2 minutes
- Men- running 1500 mtrs in 7 minutes
Stage 4 : Physical Efficiency Test
Candidates qualified in endurance test will have to undergo a physical efficiency test. This test will have 3 events with a minimum qualifying mark of 6 & 2 marks per star in every event & the max 15 marks will be allotted for 6 stars. Further details of the event are as follows

Stage 5 : Document / Certificate Verification
Candidates passed in PET will be called for certificate / document verification round. After conducting this round, the Board will release a list having names of finally selected candidates.
