UP PCS J Syllabus 2021 : Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPCS) will set the exam pattern as well as syllabus of the PCS J exam 2021 for Civil Judge (Junior Division). The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will conduct the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service exam for recruiting candidates for the post of Civil Judges in the state. The selection procedure will involve three stages namely the Prelim exam, the Main exam as well as the interview round.

UP PCS J Exam pattern 2021

Preliminary Exam

- The prelims exam will be of objective type and each paper will be conducted in a total duration of 2 hours each.
- The prelims exam will be of total of 450 marks. The commission will resort to negative marking for each answer that has been attempted and is wrong.
- Candidates will have to clear the prelims exam to be considered eligible for the mains exam.

- The main exam will be descriptive in nature and each paper will be of 200 marks.

UP PCS J Exam : Selection Procedure
The UP PCS J selection procedure 2021 involves the following three stages –
- Prelim
- Main
- Interview round
Candidates will have to clear each and every stage to be considered eligible for the final selection. The commission will first conduct the prelims exam for recruiting candidates through the UP PCS J exam. The exam will be of objective type and candidates shall be given multiple-choice questions.
After the commencement of the prelims exam, the commission will release the answer key followed by the result of the prelims exam. All those candidates who are able to locate their roll numbers in the result PDF are then selected for the mains exam.
Candidates who are able to clear the prelims and score the minimum qualifying cut off, are then allowed to appear for the descriptive mains exam. The mains exam consists of 5 papers and candidates will have to pass each and every paper to finally clear the mains exam. Once the mains exam is successfully conducted, the commission will release the result of the mains exam, and all those who qualify this stage are then selected for the final interview round.
The UPPCS will then issue a separate call letter for all the selected candidates inviting them to appear for the interview round. The candidates will have to go through a face to face personal interview round that will assess the abilities and skills of the candidates followed by the verification of documents.
Within ten to fifteen days of commencement of the interview round, the commission will update and release the final merit list. The final merit list will be formulated based on the scores obtained and the performance of the candidates in all the respective stages of the UP PCS J exam.
All those candidates who are able to locate their names and roll numbers in the final merit list are then selected and recommended for final recruitment by the commission.
In case there is a tie between the candidates, the commission will give the first preference to the candidate who is older in terms of age.
