UPPCL AE exam pattern, syllabus 2021 is explained in detail here. UPPCL will release a notification for the recruitment of AE in various disciplines across the state of Uttar Pradesh. UPPCL AE examination 2021 will be held in the first week of November 2021. UPPCL AE selection process will be based on merit in the written test and interview. The written exam will be held online consist of MCQs and candidates qualified in the exam will be called to appear in the Interview.
The application process starts from 25.09.2021 and ends on 14.10.2021. The candidates are advised to fill the application form in time on the official website of UPPCL and there is no other mode to apply. The admit card will be released on the official website of UPPCL 15-20 days prior to the day of the examination. The candidate shall receive notification regarding the release of the admit card on their registered mobile number and registered email ID.
UPPCL AE Exam Pattern 2021
UPPCL will conduct an online computer-based examination for the recruitment of Assistant Engineers in various disciplines. The examination will be of 3 hours where the candidate has to answer 115 multiple-choice questions. There are going to be 4 choices given to the candidate and he/she has to choose the most appropriate answer accordingly.
- There will be 50 questions of 1 mark each and 25 questions of 2 marks each specifically framed for the engineering discipline section.
- The Hindi language section shall consist of 10 questions of 1 mark each.
- The general knowledge section shall consist of 10 questions of 1 mark each.
- The reasoning and aptitude section will consist of 10 questions of 1 mark each and 10 questions of 2 mark each.
- Qualified candidates will be called for the personnel interview round.
The candidate should also remember that for every wrong answer there is negative marking of one-fourth of the marks accordingly i.e. for 1 mark it is 0.25 marks and for 2 marks it is 0.5 marks. Following is a tabular representation of it.

UPPCL AE Exam Date 2021
UPPCL will conduct an online computer-based examination for the recruitment of AE probably in the first week of November 2021. The examination will be conducted on multiple sessions. After the examination eligible candidates will be called for the personnel interview round probably in the middle of December 2021.
UPPCL AE Selection Process 2021
UPPCL follows a very simple procedure for the recruitment of AE. The selection process is quite transparent as compared to others. After the commencement of the online computer-based examination within 3-4 working days, UPPCL issue the response key to all the candidates who have attended the examination.
The candidates are allowed to raise issues if any. After stipulated time UPPCL will issue the merit list of candidates for the personnel interview round. After the commencement of personnel interview round UPPCL shall issue the list of recommended candidates for the post of Assistant Engineer in UPPCL.
Within 3-4 working days, UPPCL shall also release the cut off marks list at various stages of the recruitment process on the official website of Uttar Pradesh.

Exam Analysis
Every year UPPCL conducts examination for the post of Assistant Engineer across the state of Uttar Pradesh. The examination is considered to be tough as a large number of candidates apply for the post and also the cut off marks for the selection is well above 75% for every category.
The paper is framed with the basics of engineering discipline; wherever high calculations are needed a virtual calculator is available. The common sections are quite general and a candidate who has practised such question at least twice will be able to ace those sections easily. Hence there is no need to panic but to start preparation seriously.
