Candidates who have appeared for preliminary examination are waiting for result from past one month and the wait is over now.

As per officials, UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam Result 2018 were  announced on 14th July, 2018. Results were announced for UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2018 which was held on 3rd of June, 2018 at seventy three examination centres across the nation. As per examination stats, more than three lakh candidates were appeared in the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2018.

  • On homepage, you will have to find & click on UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2018 result fetching link ; it will be available soon under ‘What’s New’ section
  • On clicking the respective result fetching link, you will see a new page having pdf to check result
  • Click to download pdf and search for ‘Roll no.’
  • If you find roll number you are qualified in prelim exam

How To Check Civil Services Prelim Marks?

Candidates have to wait till 2019 to know the marks. Marks will be released after few days from the completion of examination process and announcement of final results after interview. The process has been explained below.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2018 Cutoff

Paper I: Based on number of posts and difficulty level of paper and number of qualified candidates in Paper II, board will decide preliminary cutoff. It is expected that the cutoff will be around 100 marks for General category based on marks scored by the candidates and expert analysis.

What Next After Fetching UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2018?

Candidates qualified in UPSC Prelim Exam 2018 will be eligible to appear in UPSC Civil services 2018 main examination. UPSC main examination 2018 will be held from 28th of September to 7th of October, 2018 at several centres such as Ahmedabad, Vijayawada, Thiruvananthapuram, Shimla, Shillong, Ranchi, Raipur, Patna, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kolkata, Jammu, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Dispur (Guwahati), Delhi, Dehradun, Cuttack, Chennai, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Bangaluru, Allahabad and Aizawl.

How To Apply For UPSC Main Examination 2018?

Candidates who will be passed in Preliminary examination will be required to fill an online application to apply for UPSC main exam 2018. Online application to apply for UPSC main exam 2018 is also known as Detailed Application Form (DAF) which will be available for aspirants from end of July 2018.

At the time of attempting DAF, UPSC main examination aspirants will be needed to go through 6 modules which are given below:

  1. Personal information
  2. Educational details
  3. Parental information
  4. Employment details
  5. Scanning & uploading of documents
  6. Final submission of DAF

Documents To Be Uploaded In DAF

  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • PH certificate (if applicable)
  • Proof of age (for all UPSC main exam aspirants)
  • Essential & optional educational qualifications certificates & mark sheets

After going through all the modules, main examination aspirants will also have to send a completely filled Detailed Application Form (DAF) to the UPSC.  

Application Fee

At the time of the filling up online application for main examination, aspirants will be needed to pay an amount of Rs. 200/- towards main examination fee.

UPSC Civil Services Interview 2018

Personality test will be of 275 marks. In interview, a candidate has to answer the asked questions on matters of general interest. Through interview, the board will judge the following qualities of a candidate- mental ability / alertness, ability for leadership & social cohesion, moral integrity, clear & logical exposition etc.

UPSC Mains 2018 Admit Cards

Admit cards for UPSC main examination 2018 shall be available from three weeks before the date of examination. Candidates who will successfully submit a Detailed Application Form (DAF) will be able to download their UPSC main examination 2018 admit cards through the website of UPSC.
