UPTET 2020 – Notification, Syllabus, Exam Date & Pattern

UPTET 2020 [Apply Online & Application Form] : UPTET notification 2020 will be released by Examination Regulatory Authority, Prayagraj, UP in Oct 2020. Interested and eligible candidates can fill and submit online application along with requisite fees between 01 Nov 2020 and 20 Nov 2020. However, the last date for payment of application fee is 21 Nov 2020. UP TET 2020 application form can be completed up to 22 Nov 2020. UP TET 2020 application form will include the following sections

UP Teacher Eligibility Test is annually conducted by Examination Regulatory Authority of Uttar Pradesh. UP TET includes two papers, Paper I is for determining eligibility of candidates for teaching in classes 1 to 5 whereas Paper II is for classes 6 to 8. Candidates can apply for either 1 or both papers, if possess required educational qualifications.

UP TET 2020 will be conducted on 22 Dec 2020 whereas admit card to the eligible students will be available to download from 12th Dec 2020. UPTET 2020 will be a state – level eligibility test to be organized and conducted by Examination Regulatory Authority, Prayagraj, UP to determine the eligibility of candidates for the teaching positions available in Government schools in Uttar Pradesh.

The Examination Regulatory Authority of Uttar Pradesh will release UPTET 2020 notification on 31^st October 2020 to conduct a state-level teacher eligibility test for the posts of Primary and Middle school teachers vacant in the Government Schools of Uttar Pradesh.

UPTET 2020 Eligibility

UPTET 2020 exam will be held for two types of teaching posts- Primary teacher for class I to V and Upper Primary Teacher for class VI to VIII. Therefore, eligibility conditions for both posts are different.

UPTET Eligibility Conditions For Post – Primary Teacher [Class 1 to 5]

• Bachelor’s degree and two-years D.El.Ed. (B.T.C.) recognized by NTCE (OR)
• Graduation and Shiksha Mitra B.T.C. of 2 years’ duration through distance learning mode (OR)
• Bachelor’s degree and two-year Diploma in Education recognized by NCTE / Two-year Diploma (Special Education) recognized by RCI (OR)
• A Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks, PG Degree and B.Ed. (N.C.T.E) (OR)
• XII / Intermediate with 50% marks and 4-years’ B.El.Ed. [Bachelor of Elementary Education] (OR)
• A bachelor’s degree along with 2-years’ diploma in elementary education recognized by NTCE (OR)
• A bachelor’s degree and obtained a Muallim-e-Urdu degree from AMU before 11 June 1997 (for Urdu teacher (OR)
• A bachelor’s degree and obtained or appearing in last year of diploma in teaching from AMU (OR)
• A bachelor’s degree and obtained or appearing in last year of UP’s BTC Urdu Special training of 2 years’ duration

UPTET Eligibility Conditions For Post – Upper Primary Teacher [Class 6 to 8]

• Applicant should have passed a graduation course in any discipline and passed or appearing in last year of 2-years’ diploma in elementary education (B.T.C.) (OR)
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in bachelor in education [B.Ed.] of 1 year duration (OR)
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in bachelor in education [B.Ed.] of 1 year duration, in accordance with the NCTE (OR)
• XII / Intermediate with 50% marks and passed or appearing in last year of 4-years’ B.El.Ed. [Bachelor of Elementary Education] (OR)
• XII / Intermediate with 50% marks and passed or appearing in last year of 4-years’ B.A.Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. or B.A. / B.Sc. Ed. (OR)
• A bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks along with R.C.I. recognized B.Ed. in Special Education of 1 year duration [passed or appearing]

UPTET 2020 Application Form and Process

UPTET 2020 application form will be available online at UPTET official website from Nov 01, 2020 onwards. The closing date of application is 20 November 2020 whereas fee can be paid up to 21 November 2020. The last date for completion of form is 22 November 2020. Before filling and submitting UPTET 2020 online application, aspirants are required to go through UPTET online registration process. It is a one-time process and mandatory for UPTET aspirants. Candidates must check UPTET eligibility conditions before applying online to UPTET 2020.

How To Fill UPTET 2020 Online Application Form?

UPTET 2020 Online Application Form is be divided into 6 parts / sections. To complete, online application candidates will have to go through all the six parts. Each of them are explained below

Part / Section 1 Registration

• Open UPTET official website or click here
• Click on ‘UPTET’ tab then ‘UPTET Registration’ tab
• Click on link available against ‘Candidate Registration Part – I’
• A new page will be displayed having several fields and columns
• Select district from where you wish to join the exam
• Enter the following details
  • Name of Candidate / Candidate
  • Mother’s / father’s names
  • Name and full address
  • Telephone / mobile number
  • Married woman candidate’s husband’s name
  • Date of birth (as per 10^th certificate)
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Disability status
  • First language

Part / Section 2 Verify Registration, Fill Qualification & Exam Details

• Enter the following details of educational qualification (high school / intermediate / graduate / masters)
  • Full name of board and college / university
  • Year of passing

• Enter exam details then click on relevant tab / link to proceed further

Part / Section 3 Update Password & Pay Fee

• Change password
• Login using new password
• click on link ‘deposit application fee’
• On clicking the said link, you will see a new page
• Enter your UPTET registration no and date of birth
• Type the code as shown in the box
• Then click on tab ‘Proceed To Submit Fee’
• Select any of the given payment options and make payment online
• Generate and print e-challan (if you want to make payment offline)

Part / Section 4 Address

• In this step, candidates have to enter all the details of their permanent as well as correspondence addresses
• Once address details are filled, click on relevant tab / link to proceed further

Part / Section 5 Photo & Signature

• Now upload scanned file of photo (max. size – 20 kb; type – JPG / JPEG)
• Then upload scanned file of signature (size – 2 kb to 10 kb; type – JPG / JPEG)

Part / Section 6 Download / Print Application Form

• After going through all sections / parts of UPTET online application, aspirants are required to take the print out of the filled application form by clicking on link ‘Download Complete Application Form’
• On clicking the said link, a new page will be opened
• Now enter your registration no. and date of birth
• Write the code as shown in the box
• Click on tab ‘Final Lock And Download Your Application’

UPTET 2020 Online Registration Fee

To apply for any paper i.e. either paper 1 or paper 2, General and OBC candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs. 600/- as their UP TET application fees. Persons with disability [PwD] will have to pay an amount of Rs. 100/- while SC / ST candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 400/- towards UPTET online registration fee.

To apply for both papers i.e. paper 1 and paper 2, general and OBC candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs. 1200/- as their UP TET application fees, persons with disability [PwD] will have to pay an amount of Rs. 200/- while SC / ST candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 800/- towards UPTET online registration fee.

UPTET 2020 Exam Pattern

UPTET 2020 will be conducted for candidates aspiring of primary & upper primary teachers. Paper 1 will be for those candidates who want to be a teacher at primary level while Paper 2 will be for those who want to be a teacher at upper primary level. Those candidates who want to be a teacher at either primary or upper primary level are required to appear in both papers i.e. Paper 1 & Paper 2. Both papers will have 150 objective type questions to be solved in 150 minutes [2:30 hours]. Each MCQ will be of 1 mark and maximum marks in each paper will be 150. There is no provision of negative marking in any paper.

UPTET 2020 Qualifying Marks

• A candidate who secure 60% or above marks [55% for reserved category] in UPTET 2020 exam will get a UPTET Eligibility Certificate with validity of 5 years
• Applicant having UPTET Eligibility Certificate  can get a job in affiliated schools as per merit
• After qualifying UPTET 2020 exam, aspirants can obtain their UPTET Eligibility Certificate by providing a copy of UPTET 2020 Admit Card and valid ID proof to the District Education Board

UPTET Admit Card 2020

UPTET admit card 2020 will be issued online through UPTET official website 10 days before commencement of examination. UPTET admit card 2020 will be uploaded on website @ http://updeled.gov.in on 12 Dec 2020. Once admit cards are released online, eligible candidates can download their admit card after entering their registration no. & date of birth on UPTET official website.

UPTET admit card 2020 will have several details such as no. of Paper [either 1 / 2 or both], language of paper, centre of UPTET exam, date & time of exam, roll no., photo of applicant etc.
