UPTET 2022 Eligibility
UPTET 2022 exam will be held for two types of teaching posts – Primary teacher for class I to V and Upper Primary Teacher for class VI to VIII. Therefore, eligibility conditions for both posts are different.
UPTET Eligibility Conditions For Post – Primary Teacher [Class 1 to 5]
- Bachelor’s degree and two years D.El.Ed. (B.T.C.) recognized by NTCE (OR)
- Graduation and Shiksha Mitra B.T.C. of 2 years’ duration through distance learning mode (OR)
- Bachelor’s degree and two-year Diploma in Education recognized by NCTE / Two-year Diploma (Special Education) recognized by RCI (OR)
- A Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks, PG Degree and B.Ed. (N.C.T.E) (OR)
- XII / Intermediate with 50% marks and 4-years’ B.El.Ed. [Bachelor of Elementary Education] (OR)
- A bachelor’s degree along with 2-years’ diploma in elementary education recognized by NTCE (OR)
- A bachelor’s degree and obtained a Muallim-e-Urdu degree from AMU before 11 June 1997 (for Urdu teacher (OR)
- A bachelor’s degree and obtained or appearing in last year of diploma in teaching from AMU (OR)
- A bachelor’s degree and obtained or appearing in last year of UP’s BTC Urdu Special training of 2 years’ duration
UPTET Eligibility Conditions For Post – Upper Primary Teacher [Class 6 to 8]
- Applicant should have passed a graduation course in any discipline and passed or appearing in last year of 2-years’ diploma in elementary education (B.T.C.) (OR)
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a bachelor in education [B.Ed.] of 1 year duration (OR)
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in bachelor in education [B.Ed.] of 1 year duration, in accordance with the NCTE (OR)
- XII / Intermediate with 50% marks and passed or appearing in last year of 4-years’ B.El.Ed. [Bachelor of Elementary Education] (OR)

UPTET 2022 application form will be available online at UPTET official website from 1st Nov 2022 onwards. The closing date of application is 20 November 2022 whereas the fee can be paid up to 21 November 2022. The last date for completion of the form is 22 November 2022.

UPTET 2022 Online Registration Fee
To apply for any paper i.e. either paper 1 or paper 2, General and OBC candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs. 600/- as their UP TET application fees. Persons with disabilities [PwD] will have to pay an amount of Rs. 100/- while SC / ST candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 400/- towards UPTET online registration fee.
To apply for both papers i.e. paper 1 and paper 2, general and OBC candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs. 1200/- as their UP TET application fees, persons with disability [PwD] will have to pay an amount of Rs. 200/- while SC / ST candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 800/- towards UPTET online registration fee.

UPTET 2022 Exam Pattern
- UPTET 2022 will be conducted for candidates aspiring to primary & upper primary teachers.
- Paper 1 will be for those candidates who want to be a teacher at the primary level while Paper 2 will be for those who want to be a teacher at the upper primary level.
- Those candidates who want to be a teacher at either primary or upper primary level are required to appear in both papers i.e. Paper 1 & Paper 2.
- Both papers will have 150 objective-type questions to be solved in 150 minutes [2:30 hours].
- Each MCQ will be of 1 mark and the maximum marks in each paper will be 150. There is no provision of negative marking in any paper.

- A candidate who secures 60% or above marks [55% for reserved category] in UPTET 2022 exam will get a UPTET Eligibility Certificate with a validity of 5 years
- Applicant having UPTET Eligibility Certificate can get a job in affiliated schools as per merit
