WB Police Constable 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit and Relaxation
An applicant must be an Indian citizen. On 1st January 2021, an applicant’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years. But the relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit will be given for SC/ST candidates of West Bengal. OBC candidates of West Bengal will get 03 years relaxation.
Candidates seeking age relaxation in the upper age limit will have to produce supportive document issued by the competent authority at the time of interview.
Educational Qualification
Interested candidates should have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent. Candidates with higher qualifications can also apply to this recruitment event.

WB Police Constable 2021 Application Fee & Mode Of Payment
All the candidates (except Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe of West Bengal only) have to pay a fee of Rs. 170/- as their application fee including the processing fee. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe of West Bengal have to pay an amount of Rs. 20/- only as their processing fee.

WB Constable 2021 Syllabus & Exam Pattern
1. Preliminary Written Test
All the candidates have to appear for a preliminary written test of qualifying in nature. Paper will have 100 MCQs to be answered in one hour. MCQs will be in two languages- Bengali & Nepali. MCQs will be from below given subjects:
- Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik standard) (30 Marks)
- Reasoning (20 Marks)
- General Awareness and General Knowledge (50 Marks)
1/4th of marks will be deducted for the wrong answer. Marks scored by a candidate in this test will not be considered for final selection.
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
Candidates qualified in the preliminary written test will be called for a physical measurement test.

3. Physical Efficiency Test (Pet)
Physical Measurement Test (PMT) qualified candidates will have to appear for a Physical Efficiency Test (Pet) which consists of 1600 (Sixteen hundred) meters run within 06 (six) minutes 30 (thirty) seconds.
Note:- Both PMT & PET are qualifying in nature.
4. Final Written Examination
Candidates qualified in PMT & PET will have to appear in a final written examination to be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. The question paper will have 85 MCQs to be solved in 60 minutes and each MCQ will be of 1 marks. MCQs will be from the below-given subjects:
- Reasoning and Logical Analysis – 15 Marks
- Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik standard) – 20 Marks
- General Awareness and General Knowledge (25 Marks)
- English – 25 Marks
Note:- 1/4th of marks will be deducted on giving the wrong answer.
5. Interview
On the basis of merit, only a few candidates will be called for interview. A merit list having names of selected candidates for interview will be prepared by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
6. Medical Examination
All the selected candidates should have a good mental as well as physical health. To confirm this thing, they will have to appear for a Medical Examination to be conducted at the State Government designated hospitals.
WB Constable 2021 Admit Card
The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board will not send any admit card of any examination by post or another mode. Candidates have to download their e-Admit Cards from the website.
WB Constable 2021 Result
WB Police Recruitment Board will announce the Police Constable Prelim written result followed by the final written result on its official website. To check results, candidates have to pay a visit to the Board’s official website.
