As mentioned earlier, a total of 7 lakh students took the test, out of which 6 lakh students were regular candidates, while the remaining students took the examination as private candidates. The Board conducted the test in 268 examination centers. With the permission of the state government, the board implemented Section 144 at all the examination centers in different districts of the state.
What Is The Pass Percentage Required?
Each candidate should secure at least 35% of marks in each subject to pass the class X examination of the AP Board. Reports state that in total 91.92% of students secured more than the 35% mark in 2019.
Measures Taken To Prevent Malpractice
The Department of School Education of the State of AP introduced a number of invigilators and higher officials to keep vigil. The invigilators were also instructed strictly to be cautious to prevent malpractices at the test centers.
When talking about the measures of vigilance, the Commissioner of School Education of AP said that they gave strong technology support for the SSC exams. The first support is by launching an application to help the intermediate students locate the examination centers. The second support is the launching of a biometric attendance system for all the invigilators and Chief Superintendents.
For each center, the board appointed around 11 invigilators. Further, to make sure that the examination is conducted in a smooth manner, the board also appointed 156 inspection groups. The flying squad also did supervision then and there.
