1. Assistant System Engineer & Assistant System Analyst in Tamil Nadu Information Technology Service
Written test for TNPSC Assistant System Engineer & Assistant System Analyst post will consist of three papers. Paper I will be object type that contain 100 questions of degree standard. Paper II will be engineering aptitude test and Paper III will have 20 descriptive answer questions of degree level.
The candidates will be selected for Assistant System Engineer and Analyst post based on the marks they obtain in the written exam which will be conducted for a total of 400 marks. The candidates who qualify the exam will be shortlisted for document verification and only those candidates who will successfully complete the document verification will be considered for final selection.

2. Combined Civil Services – I (Group – I Services)
TNPSC Combined Civil Services I/ Group 1 exam will be conducted in three phases, Preliminary written exam, Main exam followed by Interview. Preliminary test will be held for 300 marks. The question paper will contain 200 questions, 150 will be from general studies subjects at degree level and 50 will be for Aptitude and Mental Ability at SSLC level.
Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will have to appear for main exam. The main exam consists of two phases, 1st the written test and 2nd will be the interview. Main exam will be held for 350 marks where 250 marks will be for written test and 100 marks will be for the interview.
The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the Main written exam and their performance in the interview.

3. Senior Technical Assistant and Junior Technical Assistant in Department of Handlooms and Textiles
TNPSC Senior Technical Assistant and Junior Technical Assistant in Department of Handlooms and Textiles recruitment will consists of two stages, written exam and Personal Interview. The written exam will consist of two papers. Paper I will be conducted for 300 marks and contain 200 questions related to the Handloom Technology/ Textile Technology /Textile Manufacture.
3 hour time will be given to the candidates to complete paper I. Paper II will consist of 100 questions for 200 marks, 75 of which will be for General Studies at Diploma level and 25 for Aptitude and Mental Ability at SSLC level. The Personal Interview / oral test will be conducted for 70 marks.
Candidates who qualify the written exam will be shortlisted for document verification and those who successfully get their documents / certificates verified will have to appear for the oral test / interview. TNPSC will make the final selection of candidates for the post of Sr. & Jr. Technical Assistant in Department of Handlooms and Textiles on the basis of aggregate marks scored by them in the written exam and interview.

4. Hostel Superintendent cum Physical Training Officer in Tamil Nadu Employment and Training Subordinate Service
Candidates applying for Hostel Superintendent cum Physical Training Officer post will have to appear for the written exam and Interview. Written exam will be divided into two papers. Paper I will have 200 questions of Diploma standard related to Physical education for 300 marks. Paper II will consist of 75 General Studies questions at Diploma level and 25 Aptitude and Mental ability questions of SSLC standard for 200 marks. The candidates will get 3 hours and 2 hours to solve paper I and Paper II respectively.

5. Combined Engineering Services Recruitment
Combined engineering services recruitment will be conducted in two parts, first there will be a written exam and then there will be an oral exam or interview. The written exam will consist of two papers. Paper I will have questions from electronics and communications, electrical engineering and civil engineering, the candidates will have the option to choose the subject they want to attempt.
All the questions in Paper I will be of degree standard. All the questions in Paper II will be compulsory for all the candidates to answer. Paper II will be divided into two sections, 75 questions for general studies and 25 for aptitude and mental ability test.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by them in the written exam and interview.

6. Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade II
The recruitment exam for Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade 2 post consist of two papers. Paper I will have 200 questions of diploma standard. Paper II consist of 100 questions out of which 75 will be for general studies and rest 25 will be related to the mental ability and aptitude. The level of Paper II will be of Higher Secondary Standard.

There will be only one written paper for laboratory assistant post. The candidates will get 3 hour time to answer all 200 questions. Written exam will consist of questions from biology, physics, chemistry and general studies. All the questions in written exam will be of SSLC standard.
The selection process will be conducted in two phases, first the candidates have to qualify the written exam and then they will be called for the document verification. Only those candidates who qualify both the stages will be considered for the final selection.

8. Sub-Inspector of Fisheries in Tamil Nadu Fisheries Subordinate Service
Candidate has to qualify written exam in order to become eligible for selection. Written exam will be divided into two papers. Paper I will consist of 200 questions from Zoology, Fisheries Science of degree standard. The candidates will have to choose the section to answer according to their qualification.
The paper will be conducted for 300 marks and candidates will get 3 hours to answer the questions. Paper II will contain 25 questions of mental ability and aptitude while 75 questions will be of General Studies. The duration of paper II will be 2 hours and the maximum marks will be 200.
A shortlist of candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written exam and those who qualify the exam will be called for document verification. After document verification, the qualifying candidates will be called for interview and the final selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in written exam and interview combined.

10. Assistant Superintendent of Approved Schools and Vigilance Institutions in Social Defence Department
TNPSC will conduct two papers as the part of written exam for the post of Assistant Superintendent of Approved Schools and Vigilance Institutions in Social Defence Department. First paper will be for 300 marks and contain questions from the subjects such as, criminology, forensic science, psychology, philosophy.
Candidates have to choose which subject’s question they want to answer based on their qualification, and all the questions will be of PG degree standard. Paper II will contain 100 questions of 200 marks, and will be divided into two sections. First section will contain 75 questions based on the General Studies. Second section will have 25 mental ability and aptitude questions.
Qualifying the written exam makes candidate eligible to appear for the interview, and those candidates who qualify the written exam as well as the interview, will be considered for the final selection.

11. Chemist and Junior Chemist in Tamil Nadu Industries Subordinate Service
Candidates who will apply for chemist and Jr. Chemist post have to appear for two papers in the written exam. Paper one will contain 200 questions of PG degree level chemistry for 300 marks, and paper II will consist of 100 questions divided into general studies and mental ability and aptitude sections for 200 marks.

TNPSC Application Form
Registration
To apply for any of the positions mentioned above, you should first register with TNPSC Website. Once you are registered using the One Time Registration Process at tnpscexams.in/, you can apply using the OTR ID and password to submit the online application.
Online Application
For all the positions, you will have to apply online from the website of TNPSC. You should make sure to submit the application before the last date specified by the TNPSC in the notification.
Here is the process you have to follow, which will remain common for almost all recruitments
- You should remember that to apply for any recruitment notification issued by TNPSC, interested applicants should have One Time Registration and candidate dashboard.
- If you have already registered with the website of TNPSC, you can use your existing User ID and password to log in and apply to any position.
- If you have not registered earlier, you can register using the instructions
- If you wish to apply for any recruitment, you will have to click on the “Apply” option that you can find corresponding to the notification for the appropriate recruitment. When you do this, you will be prompted to enter your user ID and password.
- You will have to begin by providing details about your SSLC registration number, year and month of passing and also the name of the board that issued the certificate.
- When you register, you will have to provide a valid mobile number and email Id and you should keep these contact details active all through the recruitment process. The reason is that the commission will send messages and communications to these contact details.
- It is true that you furnish details in One Time Registration, however, the details you provide in the particular job application will alone be considered by the commission.
- Remember that all the particulars you provide in the online application like your DOB, communal category, Email ID, the centre of examination chosen and other details will be considered final. However, you will get the chance to modify some fields. But, some fields are fixed and you cannot make any changes to those fields. So, you should carefully fill up the details in the online application with the utmost care as the TNPSC will not entertain any correspondence with a request to change the details.
- Once you furnish the basic details in the online application, you can head to the payment gateway, where you will get the option to pay the application fee either in online mode or in offline mode. The options offered are Post Office Challan, Bank Challan, Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.
- If you wish to choose the online mode, you will have to fill up an additional application page, which is not essential for those paying the fee through offline mode.
- Once the online payment is completed, the system will generate an application number and this application number should be noted down for your future reference.
- For offline mode, you can choose to pay either through the post office or SBI bank challan. One submission of your details, the system will generate a payment challan and you should take a print out of this challan and should take it to the SBI branch or post office near you to make the payment. Once you pay at the cash counter, do not forget to collect the candidate’s copy of the challan.
- The application process will be successful only after you pay the application fee. You need not have to send the printout of the application or any other documents to the commission.

TNPSC Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2021
The pattern and syllabus differ based on the recruitment and position to which you apply. You can get to know the detailed syllabus from the appropriate notification page.
TNPSC Selection Process
The selection of candidates for different recruitments conducted by TNPSC will be done after multiple stages of selection process. Also, there will be a difference in the stages as well. For instance, for some recruitment, there will be the preliminary examination, the main examination and oral test, while for some, there will be just a single-stage written examination followed by document verification. Candidates can get to know the complete details by visiting the appropriate notification page.
TNPSC Hall Tickets
TNPSC e-call letter/ hall ticket will be made available around 10 days before the test date. Candidates will be notified about the availability of hall tickets for downloading to their registered mobile number and email by the commission. Candidates should remember that they will not get the e-call letter to their address; they will have to download it only from the website of the commission.
How To Download Hall Ticket?
The method to download the e-call letter for all TNPSC exams is similar. Here is the process to follow:
- Go to www.tnpsc.gov.in, which is one of the commission’s websites from where you can download the e-call letter.
- You will find an option called “online services” on this website. You can find this link in the middle of the website on the right-hand side.
- When you click on this option, you will find a dropdown menu.
- On this menu, you will find “Hall ticket download” as one of the options.
- When you click on this link, you will get to a webpage, where you will find the list of advertisements for different recruitment announcements made by TNPSC. On this table, you should find a link to the appropriate recruitment for which you wish to apply. Corresponding to it, you will find a link that shows “download admit card”.
- When you click on this link, you will be taken to a page that will ask you to enter your application number or ID and DOB. Make sure to enter your DOB in DD/MM/YYYY Format.
- Once you enter the details requested by the system, you will have to click on the “Submit” button. You will find the e-call letter displayed on the screen. If the preliminary examination of specific recruitment is approaching, you will find the link to the hall ticket for prelims. In the same ways, if the main exam is approaching, you will find the link to the main examination.
- Before you download the hall ticket for any TNPSC exam it is better to ensure the correctness of the details.
TNPSC Result 2021
The results will be published on the website of TNPSC. The publishing of the result will happen around a month after the written test. Of course, the commission will notify you to your registered email and mobile phone number about the availability of the results.
However, it is better to keep visiting the website of the commission then and thereafter the test for updates. If the recruitment you are applying has multiple stages, the results will be published by the commission for each stage separately.
How To Check Results?
- Visit the result page of the TNPSC website at tnpsc.gov.in/Results.html.
- You will find the list of recruitments conducted by TNPSC in table form.
- When you click on the link to result corresponding to the recruitment for which you have applied, you can get your results.
- The result page will open in PDF form that will have the list of the registration number of candidates shortlisted for the next phase of selection or the final selection.
How To Check Marks?
- In the same link for the result at tnpsc.gov.in/Results.html, you will find a column called written exam marks.
- Check whether there is a date in this column corresponding to the row in which the recruitment for which you have applied is present.
- If you have a date you can click on it. The system will prompt you to enter your registration number.
- When you provide your registration number and click the submit button, you will be taken to a page that contains your marks.
TNPSC Answer Key
About a week after the objective-type examination for different recruitments, the TNPSC will publish the answer key. Also, the commission will give a week’s time for the candidates to raise their objections for any answers in the tentative answer key.
They are recommended to send the objections with appropriate evidence for their claim within a week after the release of the tentative answer key. The commission will analyse the claim with a team and will publish the final answer key.
How To Download Answer Key?
- You will have visit the website of TNPSC.
- Then, you will find the list of recruitments in the “Latest notification” page.
- On the row corresponding to the specific recruitment for which you have taken up the written test, you will find a link to the answer key.
- When you click on this link, you will be taken to the answer key in PDF format.
- You can download it or even you can print it.
TNPSC Cut Off 2021
TNPSC clearly specifies the minimum qualifying marks along with the notification for all positions. Also, the commission will publish the cut-off for each recruitment exam after the final results are out. The commission will publish the cut-off for different categories separately.
