In 1921 U P Board of High school & Intermediate education was set up and it had jurisdiction over Rajputana, Central India and Gwalior. Joint board with the name Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana has been set up and it included Ajmer, Merwara as well.
With the advent of state boards the jurisdiction has been reduced and the constitution of board was amended and given the name CBSE, central Board of Secondary Education in the year 1952 and it was reconstituted finally in 1962.
