In the state of Maharashtra, Directorate of Technical Education is the governing body to handle the technical education. The admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses depends on the merit list that is prepared after the entrance exam. But before that, the important thing is that the interested candidates must meet the criteria of eligibility. Otherwise, they will not be considered for the entrance test or admission to any of the courses. The entrance exams for different courses are conducted on different dates. The entrance is known as MH CET or MHT CET. It is the way to get admission in the pharmacy and engineering courses.

There is no official notification released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. But soon in the coming few months, aspirants will have detailed knowledge about the entrance exam.

MHT CET 2019 Notification

As such, there is no official notice announced but there are some education portals which will release the notice about the beginning of the application process for MH CET 2019. Apart from these notifications of education portals, it will be the best way to check the updates for MH CET on the official website. Generally, the application process begins in the month of February. MHT CET 2019 Eligibility

For every entrance exam, there are certain eligibility criteria. Likewise, MH CET 2019 also has eligibility criteria in the terms of nationality and educational qualification. These are as follows:

Nationality : It is necessary that the applicant must have the citizenship of India.

Age : No age limit.

Educational Qualification : It is necessary to pass the class 12 exam or its equivalent exam from the recognized Board of the country. In addition, for the admission to engineering and pharmacy courses, candidates must have studied physics and mathematics in class 12th along with the optional subject of biology/biotechnology/chemistry/ vocational/ technical.

MHT CET 2019 Application Fee

General Category Candidates belonging from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) and J & K Migrant candidates will pay RS 800. On the contrary, candidates of Backward Class Categories such as SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC and Physically Challenged Candidates from the state of  Maharashtra only will pay RS 600. Keep in mind that individuals can pay only via online mode. This fee will not be refunded back in any of the circumstances.

MHT CET  – How To Apply Online?

  • Candidates will complete the process of registration by signing in to the official website.
  • During this process, candidates must ensure that they are filling the correct details. They must be ready with the scanned photo along with the scanned signature as per the specification to safeguard themselves during filling up of the application form.

The candidates will be allowed to appear in the exam only if they have filled application form completely along with the payment of fees.

The test is conducted offline. It is important to have knowledge about the exam pattern so that aspirants know how they can prepare for the examination and get success in it.

  • Total Number of questions –300
  • Questions will be asked from Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
  • Time duration: 90 minutes
  • Type of questions: MCQs
  • No negative marking.
  • Paper 1 will be in English Language only. However, the other two papers; Paper 2 and Paper 3 will be in English, Hindi and Marathi Language.

MHT CET 2019 Selection Process

After the entrance exam, the result will be announced within a few days. Now, it’s the time to carry out the further process of admission to different courses. Candidates who pass the exam will be called for counselling. For counselling, they have to bring all the relevant documents with them for verification. During the counselling process, they will get the allotment for colleges and courses.

MHT CET 2019 Admit Cards
