MP PAT 2019 Apply Online :

MP PAT stands for Madhya Pradesh Pre-Agricultural Test. The test is conducted once in a year by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, otherwise called as MP Vyapam. The test is conducted for the admission of students to the following courses in the state:

  • B. Sc in Agriculture
  • B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering
  • B. Sc in Forestry
  • B. Sc in Horticulture

When they get through this examination with good scores, candidates can get admission to any of the above-mentioned courses in state agricultural colleges and institutions.

About PEB

PEB stands for the Professional Examination Board in the state. It is a self-financed board and is an autonomous incorporated body of the State Government of Madhya Pradesh. The board was established by the State Government as the Pre Medical Test Board in the year 1970. Later, in 1981, the Pre Engineering Board was formed. In the following year, both of them were amalgamated and were given a new name called Professional Examination Board. The board has the responsibility to conduct entrance test tests for various professional courses offered in the state.

MP PAT 2019 Important Dates

As the MP PAT 2019 dates are yet to be officially released by the Board, here is a table to show the tentative dates based on the past trends:

MP PAT 2019 Notification

Candidates can expect the notification to be issued by the PEB in the middle of March 2019. They can find the notification in the official website of the board and also in leading state-level newspapers.

MP PAT 2019 Eligibility

The educational eligibility requirement to be met by candidates for different courses for which MP PAT is conducted is as follows.

B. Sc Agriculture/Horticulture

Candidates must have completed their higher secondary or its equivalent qualification from a recognized board. They must have completed the qualifying course with chemistry, physics and any one of mathematics, agriculture, forestry and biology papers. Candidates appearing for the class XII in 2019 are also eligible to apply.

B. Tech in Agriculture Engineering

Candidates must have completed their higher secondary with maths, physics, chemistry and English papers. Those applying for Class XII in 2019 are also eligible to apply.

B. Sc in Forestry

The applicants must have completed or should be appearing for the higher secondary from a recognized board. They must have studied or must be studying chemistry, physics and one of mathematics, agriculture, forestry or biotechnology papers.

In addition, for B. Sc in Forestry, candidates will have to meet certain physical standards requirements. They will have to walk for 25 km in 4 hours to show their fitness. Also, they must have a minimum height of 163 cms. This height requirement is applicable to applicants from Kumaoni, Nepali, Garhwali and Gorkha regions. In the case of applicants from Bhutan, Ladakh and other North East states, should have a height of 152.5 cms.

For all courses, there is no upper age limit to apply.

MP PAT 2019 Application Form

The application form for MP PAT 2019 will have to be submitted by the applicants online. They can expect the application opening date online from the middle of March 2019. In the same way, the application submission period will be kept open tentatively till the end of March 2019. Further, the board also offers the facility to make corrections to the submitted application. This correction window will be open from the opening date, until the first week of April 2019.

MP PAT 2019 – How To Apply?

  • Candidates will have to visit the official website of PEB at http://peb.mp.gov.in/e_default.html
  • When they visit this website, they will see a link to applying for MP PAT 2019
  • This link will be active only during the application window
  • Candidates are recommended to carefully read the instructions before they apply
  • They will have to click on the continue button
  • They should fill-out all details like their personal information and educational qualification
  • In the process, they will have to attach the scanned images of their signature and photograph. They will also have to upload the proof of their handwriting and thumb impression
  • Before they click on the ‘submit’ button, they will have to carefully go through the details they have entered
  • Then, they will have to click on the option that shows “proceed to pay”
  • The appropriate application fee has to be paid
  • Finally, they will have to take a print out of the submitted application for the future reference.

Application Fee

Based on the 2018 record, the application fee is Rs.500 for general category candidates. The fee is Rs.250 for reserved category candidates. Candidates have the option to pay the application fee either online or offline.

MP PAT Exam Pattern 2019

The test is conducted as a pen and paper-based test offline. The test will have questions both in English and Hindi. The questions will be in objective type. The test for all courses will have 200 questions in total. The test duration for all courses is three hours. Each correct answer will bring one-mark for the applicant. There is no provision for negative marking for incorrect answers and multiple responses or un-attempted questions. The pattern for different courses for which MP PAT will be conducted is as follows.

Selection Process

The selection will be on the basis of merit secured by candidates in the MP PAT 2018. Based on their score, they will be invited to attend the counselling. The final selection of candidates will happen only after the counselling for all courses.

MP PAT 2019 Admit Cards

Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of PEB before the date of the examination. Here is how to download the admit card.

  • Once the admit card is available online, candidates will find a link to the admit card in the home page of the official website
  • Here, they will have to click on the link to the admit card
  • They will have to provide details like their application number and date of birth to download the admit card
  • Once they enter the appropriate details, they will have to click on the submit button
  • After the submission, their request will be processed by the system and they will see their admit card
  • They can download the admit card and they will have to bring it to the examination hall along with a valid photo identity.

MP PAT Results 2019

Candidates, who have taken the MP PAT test, can check the official website of the board. They will find the link on the home page, once the results are out. Here is how to check the results

  • On clicking the result link, candidates will have to select the year as 2019 from the options
  • Then, they will have to click on the option that shows “Entrance Test”
  • Here, they will have to select the Pre-Agricultural Test or PAT option from the table
  • Candidates will find options as courses to check the results
  • They will have to click on the appropriate course to which they have taken the test
  • Then, they will be promoted to provide their roll number and date of Birth
  • Once they submit these details, they will get the results.

Cut off

Candidates taking up the MP PAT 2019 will have to secure the minimum cut-off percentage to qualify in the test. This score will be decided by the MP Vyapam one or two weeks after the date of the examination. Candidates can get to know this score by the month of May 2019. Candidates can get an idea about the cut-off with the past cut-offs. The cut-off for 2019 will be more or less similar to the previous year cut-offs.
