LIC AAO Selection Process 2021 [Interview] : LIC Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) 2021 selection process has been given in detail in the notification. With the release of notification, it is cleared that the Life Insurance Corporation of India (aka LIC) has prescribed a three-tiered selection process for appointment of eligible people to the post of Assistant Administrative Officers (Chartered Accountant / Generalist / IT / Actuarial / Rajbhasha).
To secure a post of AAO, candidates will have to go through and qualify each stage / Phase of the LIC AAO selection procedure. All three stages of LIC AAO selection procedure are explained below.
Phase I – Preliminary Examination (CBT)
Candidates who will successfully submit their online application along with requisite application fee/intimation charges (whatever applicable) have to appear in Phase I (CBT) examination. Since it will be a CBT (computer-based test) therefore candidates have to sit in front of a computer for the specified time duration. CBT will be divided into 3 sections having a total of 100 MCQs for a maximum of 70 marks.
English Language Test with Special emphasis on Grammar, Vocabulary, and Comprehension
- In this section of Phase I CBT, there will be 30 MCQs to be solved in 20 minutes.
- Each MCQ will be of 1 mark. MCQs will be available in English only.
- Marks obtained by candidates in this section will not be considered for ranking because the English Language Test will be of qualifying nature.
- Minimum qualifying marks for SC / ST will be 9 and 10 for others.
Quantitative Aptitude
- This test will have 35 MCQs to be solved in 20 minutes.
- Each MCQ will be of 1 mark. MCQs will be available in English only.
- MCQs will be available in both Hindi and English.
- Minimum qualifying marks for SC / ST will be 16 and 18 for others.
Reasoning Ability
- This test will have 35 MCQs to be solved in 20 minutes.

Phase II Main Examination
Based on marks in Phase I Preliminary examination, candidates will be shortlisted for Phase II main examination to be held on June 28, 2021 (tentative). The main examination will be held in an online mode having an objective test and descriptive test. Each test will have separate timing. Post wise main examination pattern is given below

Phase III – Interview
Candidates qualified in Phase-II examination will be called for the interview. To qualify an interview, a candidate has to score the minimum qualifying marks set by the Life Insurance Corporation of India.
Stage III : Pre-Employment Medical Examination
After conducting Stage-III interview successfully, the Life Insurance Corporation of India will prepare a list of shortlisted candidates. Such candidates should have to go through a Pre-employment medical test organized by LIC to confirm whether a shortlisted candidate is medically fit or not.
