BPSSC 2018 Recruitment – Apply Online :

The Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission is going to conduct a recruitment event for the vacant post of Excise Sub Inspector in Prohibition, Excise & Registration Dept., Govt. of Bihar. Interested candidates are required to apply online @ www.bpssc.bih.nic.in. The process of filling & submitting online application was started from May 22nd, 2018 and the last date is June 30th, 2018. But before applying online, candidates are requested to know few important things such as date of release of official notification, eligibility conditions, application form, process, fee & mode of payment, examination pattern/scheme & syllabus, admit card, result etc.

On May 20th 2018, the Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission has released an official notification to conduct a recruitment event for free positions of Excise Sub Inspector in Prohibition, Excise & Registration Dept., Govt. of Bihar. To download/read it now, click here.

Educational qualifications

Candidates should have passed a graduation course in any discipline from a recognized university.

Physical Measurements

Height

  • For female candidates of all categories- minimum height and weight should be 160 cm and 48 kg respectively
  • For male candidates of unreserved (general) / BC / OBC category- minimum height is 165 cm
  • For male candidates of SC / ST category- minimum height is 160 cm

Chest (only for male candidates)

  • Without expansion- 81 cm (With expansion- 86 cm) minimum for candidates belonging to unreserved (general) / BC / OBC category
  • Without expansion- 79 cm (With expansion- 84 cm) minimum for candidates belonging to unreserved SC / ST category

Candidates can pay application fee online by using either internet banking service or a debit / credit card. Fee submitted through other than online mode will not be accepted. All the candidates are required to know that application fee is non-refundable.

BPSSC 2018 Application Form & Process

Interested candidates should apply online. The process to attempt online application is given below:

  • Open BPSSC official website @ www.bpssc.bih.nic.in
  • On homepage, you will see several links related to ongoing recruitment events
  • Find and click on link ‘Apply Online for the post of Excise Sub Inspector in Prohibition, Excise & Registration Dept., Govt. of Bihar. (Advt. 02/2018)’
  • You will see a new page having several tabs
  • Click on ‘Instructions – Registration & Make Payment’ tab to read important instructions
  • Now, click on ‘Step – 1 : Register & Make Payment’ tab
  • You will see a new page having ‘Instructions for Registering & Making Payment’
  • Read all the instructions carefully before proceeding
  • Check the declaration box; it will be given at the end of the instructions
  • Click on ‘Proceed to Registration &  Payment’ tab
  • Enter your details such as full name, nationality, mobile number and email address
  • Select ‘yes’ if you are a resident of Bihar state, otherwise ‘No’
  • Select your category, gender & date of birth
  • Click on ‘Proceed’ tab
  • Once again, check the declaration box, enter exact characters as shown in the image and click on ‘Make Payment’ tab
  • You will see ‘SBIePay’ payment gateway
  • Select payment mode and make the payment
  • After making payment successfully, you will get a ‘registration ID’ on your mobile through a text message
  • Now, use this ‘Registration ID’ and your ‘Date of birth’ to fill application form
  • To fill application form, enter your personal, academic and address details
  • Now, upload your photo & signature
  • Click on ‘Submit’ tab
  • Print your final submitted application form

BPSSC 2018 Exam Scheme

Successfully registered candidates will have to appear in the written test. It will consist of two papers i.e. Paper I & II. Both papers are explained below:

Paper I

It is also known as preliminary examination. Paper will have total 100 MCQs (each will be of 2 marks) to be solved in 120 minutes. MCQs will be asked from general knowledge and general awareness.

Paper II

It will be a main examination. Candidates qualified in preliminary exam will be called to appear in the main examination. In paper II, there will be two more papers. First paper will be of General Hindi subject. It will have 100 MCQs (each of 2 marks) to be solved in 120 minutes. Second paper also will have 100 MCQs from subjects/topics like general knowledge, general science, civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics and mental ability.

Physical Efficiency test

Before final selection, candidates will have to qualify a physical efficiency test. Events to be held in PET are given below:

Running

  • For male candidates- 1600 metres race should be completed in 6 minutes otherwise candidate will be disqualified
  • For female candidates- 1000 metres race should be completed in 6 minutes otherwise candidate will be disqualified

High Jump

  • For male- minimum 4 feet
  • For female- minimum 3 feet

Long Jump

  • For male- minimum 12 feet
  • For female- minimum 9 feet

Cannon throw

  • For male – 16 pound cannon should be thrown to at least 16 foot away
  • For female- 12 pound cannon should be thrown to minimum 10 foot away

BPSSC 2018 Admit Card

The Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission will issue separate admit card for preliminary, main and PET.

BPSSC 2018 Results

Results will be declared after few days from the date of examination.
