JEECUP exam pattern and syllabus 2021 have been given in detail here along with the UPJEE selection process. JEECUP stands for the Joint Entrance Examination Council of Uttar Pradesh which conducts the UPJEE (Polytechnic) examination every year. The purpose of the UP Joint Entrance Test (Polytechnic) as the name implies is to choose candidates for the diploma and polytechnic courses offered in different colleges in the state of UP.
- UPJEE Polytechnic exam will be conducted offline, OMR based for different courses.
- UPJEE P exam will have objective type questions and test duration is 3 hours.
- The JEECUP test syllabus is from 10th/11th/12th standard along with subjects in Graduation for some courses.
- The selection will be based on merit in the written exam along with choice filling of candidates and their rank.
JEECUP 2021 Scheme Of Examination
UPJEE (Polytechnic) examination is conducted for the selection of suitable candidates for different courses, the test pattern is different based on the course to which a candidate applies.
- JEECUP exam will be held offline, pen and paper-based.
- The question paper consists of 100 questions and for each group, there will be separate question papers.
- Questions will be of objective type with four options, among which one will be the correct answer.
- Each question carries 4 marks and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for wrong attempts.
- The time duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
- Questions will be in English and Hindi languages.

Pattern For Lateral Entry Admissions
JEECUP conducts the polytechnic entrance test not just for candidates seeking admission to the first year, but even for lateral entry applicants to the polytechnic colleges. The Group K1 to K8 denotes Lateral entrance courses and the format for each course is as per the table below. The subject from which the questions will be asked along with the appropriate weightage is as per the table below.

- The entrance test for all groups will be conducted only in offline mode.
- Candidates applying for each group will have a single paper with 100 objective type questions.
- To help candidates understand each and every question clearly, the question papers will have questions in two columns. One of these columns will have questions in English and the other column will have questions in Hindi.
In general, the test is conducted in two sessions on the same day. In the morning session from 9 am to 12 pm, the test will be for Group A applicants, while the second session from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm will be for group B to I and K1 and K8. For the year 2021, the test is expected to be conducted around the 4th Sunday of April 2021.

JEECUP 2021 Syllabus
For a detailed syllabus, candidates can check their 10th/11th/12th class syllabus of each subject as per the UPJEE Polytechnic exam paper. The standard of syllabus and question paper will be of 10th/11th/12th standard as per the course the candidate appearing for. Check the appropriate syllabus of each subject prescribed by the UP State board and plan to prepare for the exam.
Group A Syllabus
Group A syllabus will be of 10th standard of UP board that include Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects.
Group B Syllabus
Group B syllabus has 2 sections, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Agriculture.
Group C Syllabus
It will have 3 sections, English & Hindi Comprehension, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and General Awareness. Besides this, it will have questions from the 10th syllabus.
Group D Syllabus
Group D has syllabus from 12th class and includes 4 sections, Numerical Ability, English & Hindi Comprehension, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and General Awareness.
Group E Syllabus
It includes a 10+2 syllabus which consists of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology.
Group F Syllabus
It consists of the syllabus from B.Sc. academics that consist of Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry.
Group G Syllabus
Group G has syllabus from 5 sections, Numerical Ability, General Intelligence, English Comprehension, Reasoning, General Awareness.
Group H Syllabus
Questions standard will be of Intermediate and the paper gets divided into 4 sections, English, General Knowledge, Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Discussion. Each section has 25% weightage.
Group I Syllabus
It includes a 10+2 syllabus which consists of Physics and Chemistry (50%) and Mathematics (50%).
Group K Syllabus
Group K syllabus is from the 10th and 12th standards that include two sections, first is Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and another section is Engineering subject. The weightage of questions of the first section will be 40% and the second section is 60%.
Seat Allocation and Admission Process
The organizing authority will announce the JEECUP result based on merit and invite qualified candidates for the seat allocation process. The allocation of seats will be on the basis of the choices of branch and Institute and the rank of the candidates.
After the result, candidates can choose the choice for branch and institution online. After the allotment of the seat, the candidate must attend counseling for document verification at the appropriate centers/ colleges. For the latest information in this respect, candidates are recommended to regularly visit the website at jeecup.org and jeecup.nic.in.
The document verification would be done at the time of admission/seat allocation process.
- The purpose of the certificate verification is to verify the details entered by candidates in their application like category, state of eligibility, qualifying examination, age, and identification.
- If a candidate does not produce authentic documents, he/she will not be considered for admission.
- At the time of the seat allocation process, candidates from reserved category candidates should produce the appropriate certificate from the competent authority to show their category.
- If they do not produce a category certificate document in original, they will not be considered for admission.
