BHU PET 2021 Notification & Online Application Form : BHU PET 2021 notification will be released in January 2021 by the Banaras Hindu University on its website @http://bhuonline.in/. BHU PET is conducted for admission to the various General, Professional, Special and Vocational courses at Banaras Hindu University. The admission will be for the Post Graduate programs in the streams of arts, science, agriculture, commerce, social sciences, and environment.
- Candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the course applying to appear in the BHU PET.
- The minimum educational criteria of BHU PET is Bachelor’s Degree along with 50% marks.
- BHU PET exam will be held in the month of May 2021 on various dates for various courses/papers.
- Candidates have to qualify in the written exam and make a place in the merit list. The admission to various courses depends on the merit list.
The Banaras Hindu University was established by Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviyaji in the year 1916. It is the largest residential university in the whole state. It is one of the most reputed universities in the country. The university is offering a wide range of courses including undergraduate and postgraduate ones.
However, for admission to courses like engineering, medical, and other courses, the university conducts different entrance exams. Candidates will have to appear in different exams like FMS MBA, BHU UET, BHU PET, BA LLB, and so on for admission to various courses.

BHU PET 2021 Eligibility
The educational qualification that is required to apply for BHU PET are as follows for different postgraduate programs:
Faculty of Social Sciences
- Applicants must have passed Bachelor of Arts (Pass Course)/ Bachelor of Arts (Hons)/ Bachelor of Science (Pass Course)/ Bachelor of Science (Hons) from any of the recognized universities of the country.
- He/she must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks at the graduation level.
Faculty of Commerce
- Applicants must have passed Bachelor of Commerce (Pass Course)/ Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from any of the recognized universities of the country.
- He/she must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks at the graduation level.
Faculty of Sciences
- Applicants must have passed Bachelor of Science (Pass Course)/ Bachelor of Science (Hons) from any of the recognized universities of the country.
- He/she must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks at the graduation level.
However, there is a provision of relaxation for the candidates who belong to the reserved category. For such candidates, no minimum marks are required.

- Enter the personal details for authentication of identification using any photo Id

Note:
- Candidates must make sure that application fees must be paid as if they fail to do so, their application form will be considered as the incomplete one. As a result, they will not be able to appear in the entrance test.
- There is no provision of applying through offline mode. So, candidates must apply through online mode only.
Documents Required
Before applying, candidates must have a valid E-mail ID as it will be needed for the registration process. A valid mobile number is also needed as it will be needed for communication purposes at the time of admission.

BHU PET Application Fee
To apply, the General and OBC applicants need to pay an application fee of Rs.500 and Rs.200 for the additional subject. On the other hand, candidates of the reserved category of SC/ST will have to pay only Rs. 250 and Rs.100 for the additional subjects.
The payment can be made via any one of the options which are Internet Banking, Debit card, Credit Card, and Challan of HDFC Bank.

BHU PET 2021 Selection Process
Soon after the announcement of the result, the admission process will be carried out. Candidates who will fulfill all the eligibility criteria for admission to the postgraduate program which includes educational qualification, age criteria, and getting a pass in the entrance test with minimum cut off marks.
The eligible candidates will have the opportunity to participate in counseling. During the counseling, the candidates should bring all the relevant documents. Counseling will decide which candidates will get admission.

BHU PET 2021 Admit Card
BHU will issue the PET admit card for those applicants who have successfully completed the process of registration at least one week before the exam. The officials will release the PET admit card online on the BHU website.
- Registered candidates will be able to download the exam admit card from the official website only.
- For downloading the admit card, candidates can use Registration Id/registered email and their DOB as the password.
- After downloading, candidates should make sure that all the personalized details are correct. In case, they have any issues, candidates should contact the concerned authorities immediately.
- Admit card is an important document that must be carried in the exam hall.

BHU PET Results 2021
BHU PET Result 2021 will be declared in the second week of June on the official website. Scorecard will not be sent by post and candidates have to download from the website. Aspirants will get to know about their results on the email ID which was registered at the time of registration. The scorecard contains the sectional marks obtained, total marks obtained along with rank.

Merit List
The BHU PET merit list will be released course-wise and category-wise for the qualified candidates who had appeared in the test. Candidates Roll Number, Category, and rank will be displayed in the merit list. Seat allotment and counseling will take place based on the merit list.
Cut-off
To get admission in the desired course at the postgraduate level, scoring the minimum qualifying marks is the essential condition. The authorities will declare the different cut off for different categories for each course. The cut off is the minimum marks required by the candidates in order to get placed in the merit list of BHU PET 2021.
- Minimum qualifying marks for General category candidates is a minimum of 35% marks obtained by the topper, and for SC/ST is a minimum of 25% marks obtained by the topper.
- For MPA and MFA, minimum qualifying marks in theory paper will be 35%, practical is 45%.
- M.P.Ed., minimum qualifying marks in theory paper will be 35%, Physical Fitness Test is 45%.
Counseling
BHU PET counseling will be held in 3 stages,
- Online Preference Entry
- Activity on the day of counseling – Seat allotment
- Activity on the next day of counseling – Submit Payment proof
After the declaration of merit list, qualified candidates will be issued call letters for counseling. Candidates have to download counseling call letters from the candidate’s segment of the entrance test portal.
After receiving the password in call letter, candidates must have to enter preference details of course and Institution, a course type in the preference entry form on candidates segment of the exam portal.
Candidates have to reach the exam counseling venue and finalize the preference entry form by changing options if any and sign and submit which is final.
Seat allotment will take place based on merit in the entrance test and choices, rank by a computer. If provisionally allotted, collect provisional admission letter the next day at 10:00 am.
Pay the admission fee online or in cash at the counter by 4:00 pm on the next day of the counseling day and submit the proof.
Candidates must bring educational certificates, caste certificate, Admit card of exam to the counseling center for verification.
