SBI PO 2022 Eligibility Criteria

SBI PO 2022 Exam eligibility must be checked before filling an online application form. Interested candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria such as Age Limit, Educational Qualification, etc. to apply for the post of SBI PO. Age Limit

Candidate’s age should be in between 21 to 30 years as on 1^st August 2022 (or) candidates must have been born between 02 August 1991 to 01 August 2000 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation

Candidates of Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste/Other backward class/Ex-servicemen categories are eligible for upper age relaxation. A person with a physical disability can also opt for age relaxation while filling an online application form. Relaxation in the maximum age limit will be applicable as given below.

Note: Cumulative age relaxation is not available for SBI PO recruitment.

Essential Educational Qualifications

Applicants who have a Graduation degree in any discipline are eligible to apply. Degree must be recognized by a central/state Govt/university/institution. Graduation final year students can also apply for the SBI PO 2022 exam. But at the time of the interview, they need to present the original graduation degree or certificate of completion issued on or before 31.08.2022.

Candidates who have an integrated dual degree and passed it on or before 31 Aug 2022 and candidates having qualification of Charted Accountancy are also eligible to apply for SBI PO 2022.

Other Requirement

• Candidates with adverse CIBIL reports or from any external agencies, or with a record of default in repayment of loan/ Credit card dues, etc. are not eligible to apply.
• candidates on whose name there is an adverse report of character & antecedents, moral turpitude are not eligible to apply.

SBI PO 2022 Application Fee and Mode Of Payment

All the candidates have to pay the SBI PO 2022 application fee of Rs. 750/- including intimation charges. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories need to pay Rs 125/- as intimation charges only. General and Reserved categories are required to know that intimation/application charges once paid will not be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.

Interested candidates have to pay SBI PO 2022 application fee/intimation charges in online mode only. Candidates can make the payment by using a debit card/credit card/internet banking.

SBI PO 2022 Application Form

Candidates interested in SBI PO are required to apply online to participate in the recruitment process. For submitting the SBI PO application form, candidates need to fill and submit the SBI PO 2022 online application. SBI PO apply online process will commence from August 2022. • Your click will take you to a new page where you need to click on ‘Click for New Registration’

• The application form will be opened and click on ‘Continue’ after reading the eligibility related popup

Basic Info

• Fill in basic details such as First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name and confirm the same
• Provide Mobile number and email ID and confirm the same

• Enter Security Code
• Click on the ‘Save & Next’ button
• On submitting these details, you will instantly get a provisional registration number as well as a password through email/SMS and the same will be displayed on the screen

Upload Photo and Signature

• you will land on the next page where you have to upload scanned copies of your latest passport-size picture along with the signature. photo size should be between 20-50kb and preferred dimensions are 200 x 230 pixels.
• The signature size should be between 10-20kb. preferred dimensions are 140 x 60 pixels. The signature should be on white paper with a black pen. It should not be in capital letters.
• Make sure you have a scanned photo and signature as per the required format. If they are unclear candidature will be rejected.
• After uploading the signature & photo, now click on tab ‘Next’

Details

• Provide your basic details such as category, sub-caste, disability status, the status of domiciled in J&K during the period 01 Jan 1980 to 31 Dec 1989, etc.
• Select the religion to which you belong
• If you belong to the religious minority community then select ‘Yes’ otherwise ‘No’
• If you are an ex-serviceman (including ECOs / SSCOs) then select ‘Yes’ otherwise ‘No’

• Select other details
• Select examination center for preliminary and main examination
• Select other personal details like date of birth, gender, marital status, father’s / mother’s name, correspondence & permanent address

Payment of Fee

• A payment gateway is integrated with the application form

• The online application fee is the final step of your online SBI PO 2022 exam form. If you are a general candidate then you need to pay Rs.750/- as your online application fee otherwise Rs.125/- for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories

Print

• Applicants are advised to take out a print out of their application form along with a fee receipt for future reference.

SBI PO 2022 Exam Pattern

SBI PO 2022 Exam pattern is discussed here as per the official notification. SBI will conduct SBI PO 2022 examination in three phases.

• Preliminary Examination
• Main Examination
• Group Exercises & Personal Interview

The first phase will be an online Prelim examination and the second phase will be an online Main exam followed by the Group Exercises & Personal Interview. Candidate needs to qualify in the Prelim exam to appear in the Main exam, upon qualifying in the Main exam, they will be called for GE & Interview.

Phase I Prelim Exam Pattern

• The prelim exam will be held online i.e., CBT, and contain MCQs.
• The preliminary exam paper will be divided into three sections – English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
• The English Language section will contain 30 questions of 30 marks and the second and third sections contain 35 questions each and each question carries 1 mark.
• The total questions will be 100 for 100 marks.
• 0.25 marks will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong answer.
• The total time duration of the SBI PO prelim exam will be one hour.

Criteria Of Selection For Phase-II Main Examination

Phase I Preliminary examination will be conducted and a category wise merit list will be released by the bank. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the cumulative marks obtained in the Phase I examination. Candidates of up to 10 times of vacancies will be shortlisted and called for the Phase II main examination.

Phase II Main Exam Pattern

Candidates qualified in the Phase I preliminary examination will be called by SBI for Phase II Main examination. SBI Main exam will have an Objective test and Descriptive test.

Objective Type Test

• The objective test will be held online i.e., CBT, and contain MCQ type questions.
• The objective test will have four sections – Reasoning & Computer Aptitude (45 Questions), Data Analysis & Interpretation (35 Questions), General/Economy/Banking Awareness (40 Questions), and English Language (35 Questions).
• The total questions will be 155 for 200 marks.
• There will be a deduction of 1/4th mark assigned to the question for each wrong answer.
• The total time duration will be 3 hours.

Note – In both objective tests of the Preliminary and Main examination, the penalty for wrong answers is applicable. For every wrong answer, 1/4^th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as negative marking.

Descriptive Type Test

• Just after appearing in an objective test, candidates have to appear in a descriptive test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks.
• Descriptive Test will be of English Language (Essay & Letter Writing) which will have 2 questions.
• The candidates need to score minimum marks in a descriptive test as decided by the bank to qualify in this test. The score obtained in this test will also be considered for final merit.

Criteria Of Selection For Phase III Group Exercise and Interview

Once Phase II Main examination will be completed, a category wise merit list will be released by the bank. This merit list will be prepared on the basis of the cumulative marks obtained in Phase II main examination. Candidates up to 3 times of vacancies will be shortlisted and called for the Group Exercise & Interview.

Phase III Examination

Phase III will be the Group Exercise (20 marks) and Personal Interview (20 marks) of a total of 50 marks.

OBC-NCL candidates who will be appearing for Group Exercise and Interview have to submit an OBC-NCL certificate.

SBI PO 2022 Selection Process

• Phase-I Preliminary examination will be qualifying in nature; marks obtained in Phase-I Examination will be not be considered for final merit.
• To be considered for final selection, candidates will have to qualify both Phase I & Phase II separately.
• A final merit list for selection will be prepared after combining the marks obtained in the Main Examination with the marks secured in GE & Interview.
• Normalization marks will be done for the Main exam and GE & Interview. The main exam marks of 250 will be normalized to 75 and GE & Interview marks of 50 will be normalized to 25. The final merit will be for 100 marks.

SBI PO 2022 Admit Card

SBO PO 2022 admit card or call-letters will be released separately for each stage. SBI upload the admit cards/call letter for Prelim/ Main/ Interview before ten days of the SBI PO exam. Candidates are advised to download the admit cards early in order to avoid the last-minute rush.

To download your admit card, you need to login to the SBI website by entering the registration number which was auto-generated at the time of online application form filling, and use your date of birth as a password.

Note – At the examination center, applicants are required to show the admit card and a valid photo ID to the examiner.

Proof Of Identity

Candidates must bring valid Photo ID proof to the exam hall along with a call letter/ admit card. The acceptable ID is one among the list given below.

The State Bank of India will declare SBI PO 2022 Result Phase wise (Prelim/Main/Final) on its official website. To check your result, a candidate has to login to their account with the same registration no. & password. Once you logged into your account, you will see a ‘Result’ link. SBI PO 2022 Cut Off

SBI PO 2022 cut-off marks will be released after the announcement of the SBI PO result. However, the SBI PO cut-off for the years 2019, 2018 & 2017 is given below for an idea about the past trend.

SBI PO 2018 Main and Final Cut Off

SBI PO Written test marks of 250 will be normalized to 75 and Group exercise & Interview marks of 50 will be normalized to 25. Final marks for the merit will be combined score of normalized marks of the Main exam and Group exercise & Interview of 100 marks will be considered.

SBI PO Salary

SBI PO basic pay will be 27,620/- with four advance increments on the scale of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42022 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. There will be DA, HRA, C.C.A, Medical, and other prerequisites from time to time. On a CTC basis, the annual salary will be 8.2 to 13.08 lakhs as per the place of posting.

Pre-Exam Training

Bank conducts pre-exam training for SC/ ST/ Religious minorities at certain centers. While applying online students must select the pre-exam training option in the application form.

A call letter should be downloaded to attend the pre-exam training from the official website. A pre-exam training call letter will not be sent by post.

Joining and Training

Upon joining, a candidate has to execute a bond of 2 lac. rupees to serve a period of 3 years. In case if they resign or failed to serve before the period of 3 years, the bank will invoke the bond.

On joining the candidate will be considered as Probationary Officer and will be on Probation for 2 years.  They will be assessed from time to time based on the ban standards and will be confirmed in the service as Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Those who secure higher scores/ standards will be directly placed in the next higher grade as Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II). If a candidate fails to achieve minimum standards their service will be terminated.
