SBI PO 2018 Exam Pattern :
SBI PO 2018 recruitment examination is going to be started from 1st July 2018. Those candidates who have successfully attempted online application need to be aware of examination pattern. SBI PO 2018 recruitment event will be completed in three Phases- Phase I, II & III. Phase examination pattern is explained below
Phase I (To be held from 1st, 7th & 8th of July 2018)
SBI PO 2018 Phase I is also known as preliminary examination. It will be an online test having 100 multiple choice questions to be solved in maximum 60 minutes. Phase I question paper will be divided into three tests and a candidate has to pass in each of the test by scoring minimum marks. Minimum marks for each of the 3 tests will be decided by the Bank.

Phase II (To be held on 4th August, 2018)
SBI PO 2018 Phase II examination is also known as main examination. On the basis of marks obtained by all examinees in Phase I examination, SBI will prepare a merit list and shortlist candidates for Phase II examination. Phase I shortlisted candidates will have to appear in this examination. Phase II test will consist of objective and descriptive test. Both tests will be done in online mode only.
- Objective test- It will be an online test for 200 marks. This test will be of 3 hours’ duration and consist of four sections. Like Phase I, a candidate need to qualify each of the sections by scoring minimum marks, to be finalized by SBI. In this objective test, each section/test will have separate timing.

- Descriptive test- Just after appearing in objective test, candidates have to appear in an online descriptive test. It will be a test of English language (Essay & Letter Writing) of 50 marks to be finished in 30 minutes. Like other tests, candidates have to score minimum marks to qualify this test. Minimum marks for descriptive test will be decided by the State Bank of India.
Negative marking – Penalty for wrong answers will be applicable to both Phase I & II examinations’ objective tests and there is no negative marking for descriptive test. There will be deduction of 1/4th mark allotted for every wrong answer. In other words 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer as 1 mark is allotted for each question. There will be no penalty for unattempted questions.
Phase III (To be held in between September 24th, 2018 to October 12th, 2018)
It will be a session for group discussion as well as personal interview. Group discussion will be of 20 marks and interview will be of 30 marks. The minimum passing marks for group exercises & interview will be decided by the State Bank of India.
