IBPS Clerk 2021 Syllabus : IBPS Clerk exam pattern 2021 and syllabus are explained here as per the latest notification. IBPS Clerk exam will be held in 2 stages, Prelim and Main exam. IBPS Clerk Prelim exam is qualifying in nature and the Main exam marks alone will be considered for final merit. The Preliminary examination will be held on 28, 29 August, and 4, 5 September 2021.
- IBPS Clerk Prelim exam pattern consists of 3 sections, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and English Language.
- IBPS Clerk Prelim exam will be held online and Questions will be objective in nature.
- There will be a total of 100 questions for 100 marks and the time duration will be 1 hour.
Candidates qualifying in the Prelim exam will be called for the IBPS Clerk Main exam to be held in October 2021.
- IBPS Clerk Main exam pattern consists of 4 sections, General/ Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and General English.
- IBPS Clerk Main exam will consist of MCQs and the exam will be held online.
- A total of 190 questions will be given for 200 marks and the time duration is 160 minutes.

IBPS Clerk 2021 Exam Pattern
IBPS Clerk 2021 exam pattern includes two phases of the examination. The first stage will be a Preliminary examination and the second stage will be the Main examination.

IBPS Clerk Prelim Exam Pattern 2021
- IBPS Clerk 2021 preliminary examination will be conducted online.
- IBPS Clerk Prelim examination will have three sections, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and English Language.
- The exam will have 100 MCQs and each MCQ carry 1 mark and the total marks will be 100.
- Reasoning Ability section will have 35 MCQs for 35 marks, Numerical Ability will have 35 MCQs for 35 marks, and the English Language section will have 30 MCQs for 30 marks.
- There will be a section-time of 20 minutes for each section and the total time duration is 1 hour.
- There will be negative making, 0.25 marks will be deducted as a penalty for each incorrect answer.

- To qualify the preliminary exam, candidates have to score minimum cut-off marks in each of the 3 sections.
- There will be no penalty if a question is unanswered or left blank.
- Tests will be available bilingually, i.e. English & Hindi, except the test of the English language.
IBPS Clerk Main Exam Pattern
- IBPS Clerk’s main examination will have 4 sections – General/ Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, General English.
- There will be a total of 190 objective-type questions for 200 marks.
- The total time duration will be 160 minutes and there will be a sectional time duration.
- The General/ Financial Awareness section will have 50 MCQs for 50 maximum marks for 35 minutes.
- The quantitative Aptitude section will have 50 MCQs of 50 marks with a time limit of 45 minutes.
- The Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude section will be 50 MCQs of 60 marks with a time duration of 45 minutes.
- General English will be 40 MCQs (each of 1 mark) to be solved in 35 minutes.
- There will be negative making, 0.25 marks will be deducted as a penalty for each incorrect answer.

- IBPS Clerk 2021 main exam will be an online objective test.
- MCQs will be available in both Hindi & English languages, except the MCQs of the English language test.
- The time allotted for each test/ section will be different (Sectional Time).
- To be considered for provisional allotment, candidates are needed to score minimum marks in each of the tests/ sections.

IBPS Clerk Selection Process 2021
- The candidate will have to appear in the IBPS Clerk Prelim exam, which is qualifying in nature.
- Candidates qualifying in the Prelim exam will be called for the Main exam.
- After successful completion of the online main examination, IBPS will prepare a final merit list on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the main examination.
- Candidates qualified in the Main exam will be provisionally allotted to participating banks.
- Candidates should know that in case of a tie of marks between two or more candidates preference will be given to the older candidate.
- The IBPS Clerk 2021 examination is going to be held in multiple sessions hence normalization of the marks of the candidates will be done using the equi-percentile method. The score available will be up to two places of decimals.

- IBPS Clerk 2021 Preliminary examination will be held on 28.08.2021, 29.08.2021, 04.09.2021 & 05.09.2021.
- IBPS Clerk 2021 Main examination will be held on 31 October 2021.
General Instructions
- The candidate has to produce and submit the requisite documents at the exam hall of IBPS Clerk 2021 which are as follows:
- Valid Call letter
- Photocopy of ID proof
- The candidate should paste the same photo on the admit card which has been uploaded in the application form.
- The left thumb impression will be scanned hence care should be done in that regard.
- The candidate should not bring the following items to the examination hall.
- Any stationery item such as a pen etc.
- Any communication devices or electronic devices such as watches, mobile, etc.
- Any ornament of any kind like a ring, badge, etc.
- Any eatables like chips, water bottles, etc.
- Candidates found using unfair means will be debarred from the examination.
