IBPS PO Syllabus 2021 (Prelim & Main) : IBPS PO 2021 exam pattern consists of 3 stages, Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview. Prelim and Main exam will be held online and candidates qualifying in Main exam will be invited for an interview round.
- IBPS PO Prelim exam will have 100 MCQs from subjects like Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. Each question carries 1 mark and the total marks will be 100 and the time duration will be 60 minutes.
- IBPS PO Main exam will have an Objective Test and Descriptive Test. Object test will have MCQs from 4 subjects namely Data Analysis & Interpretation, English Language, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, and Reasoning & Computer Aptitude. The objective test will have 155 questions for 200 marks and the time duration is 3 hours. Descriptive test of English Language (Letter & Essay Writing test) will have 2 questions for 25 marks and the time duration is 30 minutes.
- The interview will be for 100 marks and the minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be 35% and 40% for other candidates.

- IBPS PO Prelim exam will have 100 MCQs distributed among 3 tests/sections.
- Reasoning Ability (35 MCQs)
- Quantitative Aptitude (35 MCQs)
- English Language (35 MCQs)
- Each MCQ will be of 1 mark and the total marks will be 100.
- For each section, 20 minutes will be allotted separately. The total time duration is 1 hour.
- 0.25 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer as negative marking.
- Candidates have to pass in each of the 3 sections by scoring minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.
- After considering the requirements/ number of vacancies, category-wise candidates will be shortlisted and called for online main examination.

- The Main examination will have 155 objective type questions and 2 descriptive type questions.
- 155 MCQs will be 200 marks and 2 descriptive questions will be 25 marks.
- The objective test will have 3 hours time and the Descriptive test will have 30 minutes time duration.
- In the objective test, the 1/4th mark allotted to that question will deduct for the wrong answer as negative marking.
- There will be a combined test for Reasoning & Computer Aptitude.

IBPS PO 2021 Interview
On the basis of marks scored in the IBPS PO 2021 online main exam, candidates will be shortlisted and called for an interview. With the help of IBPS, interviews will be conducted by the participating banks as well as coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each UT / State. Date, time, a center name with address will be informed to the selected aspirants through the call letters.
The interview will be for 100 marks and the minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be 35% and 40% for other candidates. At the time of the interview, applicants must bring the following documents otherwise they may not be allowed to appear for the interview.
- A hard copy of the valid interview call letter
- A hard copy of system generated application form for IBPS PO 2021
- Class X certificate/mark sheet or a birth certificate issued by the respective authority
- Photo ID proof
- Graduation mark sheets/certificates
- Category certificate (only for SC / ST / OBC category aspirants)
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
- Work experience documents/certificates, if any
- Other relative certificates/documents in support of eligibility

Interview Date and Centres
The interview will be conducted in either January or February 2022. Interviews will be conducted at a few selected centers only. Name & venue of center, date, and time of interview date will be informed to the shortlisted candidates through the call letters to be issued by IBPS.
Final Selection
Scores obtained by candidates in the online main exam and interview will be taken into consideration for final selection. The weightage of the Main exam and Interview will be in the ratio 80:20. A final merit list will be generated by IBPS after the interview process. The banks will offer the joining letters to the candidates on the basis of the order of merit.
IBPS PO 2021 Pre-Exam Training
IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training will be provided to the eligible candidates belonging to SC / ST / Minority communities. Pre Exam Training will be provided free of cost and candidates should indicate if they want to avail the facility of Pre Exam Training at the time of filling the online examination form. Though the per exam training will free of cost, you have to bear the expenses incurred on traveling, boarding, and lodging during the pre-exam training period.
