IBPS PO 2019 prelim and main exam are scheduled for Oct 2019 (12th, 13th, 19th, 20th of October 2019) and Nov 2019 (30.11.2019) respectively. After Main exam, interview will be conducted and provisional allotment will be made. Final selection will be made on the basis of merit secured in Main exam and Interview. IBPS will also organize Pre-examination training for candidates belonging to reserved categories so that they can nurture their capabilities.
- IBPS PO prelims will have MCQs from subjects like Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. Candidates will get 60 minutes to solve IBPS PO prelims exam.
- IBPS PO mains will include MCQs from 4 subjects namely Data Analysis & Interpretation, English Language, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness and Reasoning & Computer Aptitude. There will be also a descriptive test of English Language (Letter & Essay Writing test).

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2019 Detailed View
Firstly, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will organize and conduct IBPS PO preliminary exam on 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th of October 2019 at several examination centres across the India. It will have 100 MCQs distributed among 3 sections-
- Reasoning Ability (35 MCQs)
- Quantitative Aptitude (35 MCQs)
- English Language (35 MCQs)
Each MCQ will be of 1 mark. For each section, 20 minutes will be allotted separately. Candidates have to pass in each of the 3 sections by scoring minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. After considering requirements/ number of vacancies, category-wise candidates will be shortlisted and called for online main examination.

Points To Be Remembered About Online Preliminary Exam
|Scoring minimum marks in each section will be necessary to qualify online preliminary exam|
|Minimum-cut off marks for each section will be decided by IBPS on the basis of several factors like category wise no. of candidates and so on.

Candidates who secure minimum cut-off marks in Preliminary exam will be shortlisted and called for IBPS PO main examination. It will be held on 30th Nov 2019 at few centres only. IBPS PO 2019 Main exam will have 4 objective type tests along with one descriptive test. Throughout the main examination, there will be 157 questions. Out of which, 155 will be of objective type and 2 descriptive type questions. 155 MCQs will be of 200 marks and 2 descriptive questions will be of 25 marks. IBPS PO 2019 Interview
On the basis of marks scored in IBPS PO 2019 online main exam, candidates will be shortlisted and called for an interview. With the help of IBPS, interview will be conducted by the participating banks as well as coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each UT / State. Date, time, centre name with address will be informed to the selected aspirants through the call letters.
Interview will be for 100 marks and minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be 35% and 40% for other candidates. At the time of interview, applicants must bring the following documents otherwise they may not be allowed to appear for the interview.

- Hard copy of system generated application form for IBPS PO 2019
- Class X certificate / marksheet or birth certificate issued by the respective authority
- Photo ID proof
- Graduation mark sheets / certificates

Interview Date and Centres
Interview will be conducted in either January or February of 2020. Interviews will be conducted at few selected centres only. Name & venue of centre, date and time of interview date will be informed to the shortlisted candidates through the call letters to be issued by IBPS.
Scores obtained by candidates in the online main exam and interview will be taken into consideration for final selection. The weightage will be in the ratio 80:20. A final merit list will be generated by IBPS after the interview process. The banks will offer joining letter to the candidates on the basis of order of merit.
