Gujarat TET Eligibility Criteria 2021
The Board of Secondary Education of Gujarat has set the minimum eligibility criteria for the candidates who want to appear for the GTET 2021. The candidates should note that only those candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria can apply for the GTET 2021.
Application of any candidate who does not fulfill the eligibility criteria will be summarily rejected. The eligibility criteria for nationality, age, and educational qualification is as mentioned below
Nationality
The candidate applying for the Gujarat TET 2021 must be an Indian citizen.
Age Limit
The minimum age limit to apply for Gujarat TET 2021 is 18 years. The candidates should not exceed the maximum age limit of 37 years in order to apply. The candidates should note that the relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC, etc.) according to the rules and regulations of the State of Gujarat.

Educational Qualification
The minimum educational qualification required to apply for the Gujarat TET 2021 varies according to the paper selected by the candidate. The paper wise requirement of minimum educational qualification is as mentioned below.
Paper I – the candidates should possess any one of the following mentioned qualifications to become eligible
- Completed class 12th or equivalent with at least 45% marks
OR
- Appearing for the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education or have 2 years diploma in Elementary Education or have 2 years diploma in Special Education.
OR
- Completed B.Sc. or BA with at least 50% marks and also have Bachelors of Education degree.
Paper II – The candidates who have any one of the below mentioned qualifications will be able to apply for Paper II of GTET 2021
- Sc. Degree and have completed or appearing for the final year of 2 years BA/B.Sc. or B.Ed. with 45% marks
OR
- Bachelor of Education Degree or completed class 12th or equivalent with at least 50% marks and have BA or B.Sc. or B.Ed. degree.
OR
- Sc. or BA with at least 50% marks or appearing for the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education / Bachelors of Education / B.Sc.
Gujarat TET Application Form 2021
The Gujarat TET 2021 online application form will be made available on the Gujarat Board of Secondary Education website. The online application process is expected to start from the month of October 2021.

Gujarat TET Exam Pattern 2021
- The Gujarat Board of Secondary Education will conduct two papers for Gujarat TET 2021.
- Paper I will be conducted for the candidates who are willing to become eligible to teach classes 1 to 5.
- The candidates who are willing to teach classes 6 to 8 will have to appear for the Paper II of Gujarat TET 2021.
- Both the papers will be conducted for 150 marks and have 150 multiple choice objective questions and the candidates will get 90 minutes to answer all the questions.
- The examination will be held on the OMR sheet in offline mode.
- The candidates have to answer all the questions in Paper I and in Paper-II candidates can choose between Mathematics/Science and Social Studies, and the rest of the sections will be compulsory.

Gujarat TET Admit Card 2021
The Gujarat TET 2021 Admit Cards will be released two weeks before the exam, most probably in the month of November 2021. The admit card will become available on the Gujarat Board of Education website and the candidates who have successfully completed the application process and made payment of the application fee will be able to download their Admit Card from the website.

Gujarat TET Result 2021
The Gujarat TET 2021 result will also be released on the website of the Gujarat Education Board. The candidates will need their registration number and password in order to download their GTET 2021 result. The result will contain the name of the candidate, total marks obtained by him/her, marks required to qualify the GTET 2021.
Gujarat TET Cut Off 2021
The Gujarat TET 2021 cut off will be uploaded to the Gujarat TET website before the announcement of the result. The candidates will be able to check the cut off on the website. The candidates who will score more than or equal marks to the cut off will qualify the GTET 2021 exam.
Gujarat TET Certificate Validity
The Gujarat TET 2021 certificate will remain valid for 7 years from the date of issue. The candidates will be able to use their GTET 2021 certificate to apply for the teaching jobs in the primary schools of the Gujarat State.
Gujarat TET Selection Process 2021
GTET will have a written test, and the candidates qualifying by securing the marks prescribed as per their category will be issued GTET Qualifying Certificate. Selection will be based on merit in the written test. The candidates who qualify the Gujarat TET 2021 will not be appointed as a teacher.
They can use their GTET 2021 qualifying certificate to apply for the teaching job in Gujarat primary schools, but they have to go through the recruitment process for the job as required by the school they will be applying to teach. Merely possessing the GTET 2021 qualifying certificate does not give a candidate the right to a teaching job.
