JIPMER MBBS 2021 entrance exam has been replaced by NEET. JIPMER stands for Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. It is one of the most advanced as well as prestigious hospitals in India. This hospital is located in Pondicherry in the Southern region of India.
The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research is an institute of national importance and has its own residential medical campus. Every year, the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research admits thirty-six doctoral students, seventy-five postgraduate students as well as two hundred undergraduate students (50 out of 200 seats in Karaikal branch).

JIPMER MBBS 2021 exam is an entrance test for MBBS course in JIPMER Pondicherry. It is an all-India level entrance test and conducted once in a year by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. The institute invites applications from students to appear in JIPMER MBBS 2021 exam. The advertisement will be given in all major newspapers in India as well as on official website.
Total Number Of MBBS Seats In JIPMER
Every year, JIPMER fills 200 MBBS seats through this exam. However, some seats are reserved for central government nominations as well as local residents of Pondicherry. In the year 2016, JIPMER got a new branch or campus in Karaikal. There are fifty MBBS seats in this newly formed campus.
So, now JIPMER will conduct the JIPMER MBBS 2021 exam for total of two hundred MBBS seats. AIPMT/NEET scorers can also appear in this exam. However, their AIPMT/NEET scores will be not valid for this exam.

Application Fee
An applicant who wants to sit in JIPMER MBBS 2021 exam should pay a fee of Rs.1200 + transaction charges as their JIPMER MBBS application fee. A candidate belongs to the SC/ST&P-SC category need to pay a fee of Rs.1000 + transaction charges as their JIPMER MBBS application fee.
PH &OPH candidates are fully exempted from application fees. OCI/NRI candidates have to pay Rs 2500 + transaction charges as their JIPMER MBBS application fee.

Mode Of Fee Payment
All the interested applicants out there must know that only online submitted application fees will be accepted by the exam coordinating authorities. Fees paid in other modes will be not entertained. To pay their JIPMER application fee, a candidate can use a debit or credit card. A candidate can also pay his/her fee through online net banking.
How To Apply For JIPMER 2021 Exam?
JIPMER MBBS 2021 exam’s application process is very simple but available only in online mode. There is no provision of offline form submission. All the MBBS aspirants are advised to read official notification and information bulletin before applying for JIPMER MBBS 2021 exam to ensure whether they are eligible or not. A candidate can fill his/her online application form by following the simple steps given below.
- First, a candidate needs to visit the official website and register themselves through a one-time online registration system.
- Once a candidate is registered on the website, she/he will get a link to login to the website at their registered email ID. With their provided email id and password, a candidate can log in into his/her online account created at the website
- Through their account, a candidate can submit his/her online application form by filling up basic personal as well as academic details
- After online form submission, now a candidate have to pay their application fee (for more details see above)
- After fee submission, a candidate will be landed on his/her online application form’s final confirmation page.
- After confirmation, a candidate can download, save, or print his/her online application form along with the application fee receipt.
Note- All the MBBS 2021 aspirants are advised to take print out of their online application form for future reference. However, they don’t need to send a hard copy to the exam conducting authorities.
JIPMER 2021 Exam Pattern
JIPMER conducts the MBBS entrance exam in two shifts. JIPMER MBBS 2021 Exam will be a CBT i.e., a computer-based test. The duration of this exam will be of 2.30 hours and paper contains 200 objective type questions.
This paper will be divided into the following five sections – Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English Comprehension & language, and Quantitative & logical reasoning. There is no provision of negative marking.

JIPMER MBBS 2021 Admit Card
JIPMER MBBS 2021 exam admit cards will be released by 3rd week of May 2021. It is assumed that a candidate will get his/her admit card ten days prior to the JIPMER MBBS 2021 exam. A candidate should bring his/her admit card to the exam center. An admit card is printed with student’s basic details such as name, date & venue of exam, photo & signature etc.

Counseling
