- IBPS SO 2021 vacancies are 1163 of Scale – I Officers’ posts like I.T. Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Marketing Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, Law Officer, and Rajbhasha Adhikari.
- IBPS SO online registration requires scanned copies of candidates’ photographs (4.5cm × 3.5cm), signature, left thumb impression, a handwritten declaration, valid personal email ID, and mobile number.

IBPS SO Prelim Exam Pattern
- The IBPS SO 2021 Prelim exam will consist of three sections and the total time duration will be 2 hr. The Prelim exam is qualifying in nature.
- Law Officer and Rajbasha Adhikari Prelim exam are the same and there will be a separate exam for all other posts.
- Law Officer and Rajbasha Adhikari Prelim exam will have 3 sections, English language, Logical reasoning, General Awareness with special reference to the banking industry. Each section will have 50 questions, total questions will be 150 for 125 marks.
- IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer Prelim exam will have 3 sections, English language, Logical reasoning, Quantitative aptitude. Each section will have 50 questions, total questions will be 150 for 125 marks.
- There will be a penalty of one-fourth mark allotted to that question for each wrong answer.
- Sectional cut off along with overall cut off is present.

IBPS SO Main Exam Pattern 2021
- The Main Exam will be conducted for those candidates who have cleared the Prelim exam by securing the cut off marks prescribed by IBPS.
- Rajbhasha Adhikari Main exam consists of the Professional Knowledge test of Objective (45 questions) and Descriptive type (2 questions). Each test will be held for 30 minutes and the total time duration is 1 hr for 60 marks.
- All other posts will have Professional Knowledge Test (45 questions) for 60 marks. The time duration is 45 minutes.
- There will be a penalty of one-fourth mark allotted to that question for each wrong answer.
- Sectional cut off along with overall cut off is present.

IBPS SO Selection Process 2021
IBPS will conduct the recruitment process for the Specialist Officers to be appointed at the participating banks. The selection of competent candidates will be made on the basis of Prelim, Main exam, and a Personal Interview.
Preliminary Exam
All the candidates who apply for the IBPS SO will be called to appear for Preliminary Exam which will be qualifying in nature. IBPS will prepare and publish a merit list after conducting a preliminary exam on its website. Shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for the Main Exam.
Main Exam
IBPS SO Main Exam will be conducted for 60 marks and it will be held in online mode. The candidates who qualify the Main Exam will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview. IBPS will publish the merit list of the Main Exam on its official website after conducting the Main Exam.
Interview / Document Verification
Personal Interview will be the final stage of the selection process and candidates who will be appearing for the Interview will have to bring their original documents with them for the document verification process. The interview will be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Banks in each State and Union Territory with the help of IBPS.
After conducting the interview IBPS will prepare and publish the final merit list on its official website. Final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the Main Exam and Interview, marks scored in Preliminary Exam will not consider for final selection. Candidates who get placed in the final merit list will be provisionally appointed on the post of Specialist Officer at any one of the participating Banks.
IBPS SO Admit Card 2021
IBPS SO 2021 Admit Card or Call letters will be released separately for Prelim and Main examination followed by an Interview on the official website of IBPS @ https://ibps.in. The center, venue address, date, and time for both Preliminary and Main examinations, and Interviews shall be intimated in the call letter.
