SSC JE 2021 Syllabus : SSC JE Exam pattern 2021 will have two papers of which Paper 1 is an objective type paper, while Paper 2 is a descriptive type paper. SSC JE Syllabus for the test is decided by the Staff Selection Commission. It is expected that the SSC JE test will be conducted in Feb 2022.

SSC JE 2021 Exam Pattern
Brief Structure
The test for SSC JE Paper-I will be conducted as a computer-based test, while the paper-II will be conducted as a conventional type written test. The maximum mark for Paper-I is 200, while the utmost mark for Paper-2 is 300. For the objective type test, there will be a negative mark of 0.25 for every wrong answer.

SSC JE Exam Date 2021
Candidates interested in applying for the SSC JE position can get to know the exact date of the examination for Paper I and Paper II of the recruitment process once notification gets released. However, it will be tentatively held in Feb 2022.
SSC JE Selection Process
The first step of the selection process is the computer-based examination, which is paper I of the SSC JE. Followed by this test, the shortlisted candidates will have to take Paper-II, which is the written test. After this, the Staff Selection Commission will conduct document verification. The final selection of candidates for the Junior Engineer Position will happen after the verification of documents. The total marks in Paper I and Paper II will be considered for preparing the merit list of selected candidates.
In case of tie of marks, the following order will be considered
- Paper 2 marks scored by the candidate
- Paper 1 marks scored by the candidate
- Date of Birth of the candidate – Seniority gets preference
- First Name of the candidate in Alphabetical order

Q. Who Will Decide The Cut Off Marks To Qualify In The Paper-I and Paper-II Of Junior Engineer Recruitment?
A. The Staff Selection Commission will decide the cut-off. This decision will be made by the commission after considering different factors. For instance, the commission will consider the toughness of the question paper, the number of candidates who take up the test, the previous year’s cut-off, etc. Based on these factors, the commission will decide and will announce the shortlisted candidates on the basis of the decided cut-off.
Q. Will There Be A Reservation In The Recruitment Of JE By SSC?
A. Yes, the commission will follow the reservation policy as per government norms. The details in this respect will be published by the commission when the official notification for the Junior Engineer Position is released.
