TNUSRB SI (Technical) Recruitment 2018 Apply online, Notification :

TNUSRB Sub-Inspector (Technical) Recruitment 2018 is going to be held soon at several examination centres across the state of Tamil Nadu. Few days back, the Member Secretary of Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board has also released a notification & information brochure for the same. With the release of advertisement, the board has started accepting online applications from eligible Men, Women and Transgender candidates. Interested candidates are recommended to submit online application as soon as possible through the website www.tnusrbonline.org. The last date for submission of online application is 10th of August 2018. But before filling up an online application, candidates are required to know few important things such as date of release of official notification & information brochure, no. of vacancies, vacancies reservation criteria, scale of pay, age limit & relaxation, educational qualification, examination fee & mode of payment, selection procedure, scheme of examination, syllabus & centre, hall ticket, result etc.

On 11th of July 2018, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board has released an official advertisement against advt. no. 1 / 2018 to announce an upcoming recruitment event for the vacancies of Sub-Inspector of Police (Technical). TNUSRB SI Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Age limit & relaxation

As on 1st of July 2018, candidate should be aged 20 years or above but not have completed the age of 28 years. But relaxation in upper age limit will be given to candidates belonging to certain communities like:

Educational Qualification

As on 11th of July 2018, applicants at least have obtained a 2nd class diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu

OR

Candidates who have obtained a B.E. / B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering approved by All India Council for Technical Education are also eligible to apply for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Technical).

AND

In addition to above educational qualifications, applicants should have studied Tamil as a subject in either class XII or X. Candidates who will be selected for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Technical) but not have this qualification are required to appear & pass the Tamil-Part II Test conducted by TNPSC within 2 years after joining.

TNUSRB SI Recruitment 2018 Examination Fee

All the applicants will have to pay an amount of Rs. 500/- towards examination fee.

Mode of payment

  1. Online payment

Applicants can pay their examination fees online using any option such as Debit card or UPI or Credit card or Net banking. Applicants can check their payment status in their dashboard within 24 hours. Those candidates who want to submit examination fee online are requested to submit the application and make payment as soon as possible before the last date which is 10th of August 2018 to avoid last minute congestion & failures.

  1. Challan payment

Applicants can also make payment by submitting cash at any of the SBI bank branches. For payment of examination fee in cash, applicants will have to select ‘Cash’ mode while going through payment module at the time of attempting online application. On doing this, an applicant will get an auto-generated SBI’s Challan with 6 days’ validity. Within six days, a candidate will have to submit this auto-generated SBI’s Challan along with cash at any nearest SBI bank branch.

Application forms are available online on the website www.tnusrbonline.org. The process through which an interested candidate can fill and submit an online application for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Technical) is explained below:

  • Open the official website of Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board {TNUSRB} 
  • On homepage, you will see three sections- ‘TNUSRB Recruitments’, ‘Application’ & ‘Ongoing Recruitments’
  • Find and click on tab ‘Online Application Form’; it is available under section ‘Ongoing Recruitments’
  • A new page will be opened having a login form; it is for old users;
  • If you are an old user then enter your ‘User ID’ & ‘Password’
  • Click on ‘Login’ tab
  • Fill the application form by following rest instructions
  • But if you are a new user then click link ‘Create New User’; it is available under login form

Pattern of written or online computer based test & Syllabus

Firstly, there will be a written or online computer based test for 80 marks. Minimum qualifying marks shall be 28 marks. The duration will be 3 hours. Question papers will have 160 multiple choice questions and each MCQ will be of ½ mark. MCQs will be from topics of General Knowledge and Technical subjects. General knowledge section will contain 60 objective type questions of 30 marks and section having MCQs from Technical subjects will contain 100 objective type questions of 50 marks. Section-wise syllabus is shown in below table:

Physical Measurement Test

Candidates qualified in stage 1 test / examination will be called for next stage of examination which will be a physical measurement test. Minimum standards needed to qualify physical measurement test are given below:

Certificate Verification at Centre

After qualifying PMT, open candidates will be eligible to appear for verification of original certificates. 20% departmental quota candidates also will be called for original certificate verification. A candidate who is called for certificate verification will have to present original documents / certificates which s/he had used at the time of submitting online application.

Viva-Voce

Candidates who will be qualified in all the previous stages of examination shall be called for Viva-Voce to be conducted at TNUSRB headquarters. Viva-voce will be of 10 marks.

Medical Examination

Before final employment on the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Technical), selected candidates will have to undergo medical examination.

Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board will release and issue admit cards for written or CBT through the website www.tnusrbonline.org. To download admit card, a candidate has to follow few steps as follows:

  • Open TNUSRB’s official website
  • Find and click on ‘Download Admit Card’ button
  • Enter your ‘User ID’ & ‘Password’
  • You will see your admit card
  • Download / save or print it

Answer key

After conducting stage 1 examination that will be either a written or CBT, the Board will publish the answer key on its website.

The Board will announce and publish results of written or CBT, PMT, document verification & Viva-Voce on its website. However, exact dates of result announcements are not been announced.
