RBI Grade B Syllabus 2022 : RBI Grade B exam will be held in 3 phases, exam pattern and syllabus of the written exam has been explained in detail here. RBI Grade B selection process consists of Phase I online exam. After qualifying Phase I, candidates will have to appear for the phase II online exam. Those who qualify for both phases of the online examination will be called for an interview, which will be the final stage of the selection process.

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2022
The RBI Grade B 2022 examination will be held in three phases. Phase 1 and 2 will be an online examinations and phase 3 will be an Interview. Candidates who will qualify both the online examinations will be called for an interview.

RBI Grade B General Posts
- RBI Grade B 2022 online examination will consist of two phases.
- RBI Grade B General Posts Phase 1 will have a single paper, and phase 2 consists of Three papers.
- All the questions in Phase one will be objective (multiple choice questions) and divided into four parts.
- Phase two will contain multiple choice objective questions as well as descriptive answer questions.
- All the questions will be set in both English and Hindi (except for the English Paper)
RBI Grade B DEPR/ DSIM
- RBI Grade B DEPR/ DSIM exam will be held in 3 phases.
- Phase 1 will have Paper 1, in which Economics is the subject for DEPR posts, Statistics is for DSIM posts and the questions will be Objective type.
- After qualifying in Paper 1, candidates will be called for Phase 2 containing paper 2 and paper 3 to be conducted in shifts that will have descriptive-type questions.
- Paper 2 is the concerned subject and Paper 3 will be an English descriptive test.

RBI Grade B General posts written exam pattern consist of Phase 1 and Phase 2.
RBI Grade B General Phase I
Phase I of the RBI Grade B 2022 online examination contain only one paper for 200 marks and the candidate will be given 2 hours to answer all the questions. This single paper will be divided into four sections/tests as follows.

- Separate time will be allotted for each test.
- It is qualifying in nature, marks scored in Phase I will be considered for screening purposes and qualified candidates will be called to appear for Phase II.
- Marks scored in Phase I will not be considered for final selection.
- Except for the English language test, all the other questions will be bilingual i.e., Hindi and English.

- Paper I of Phase I contains objective questions/ MCQs for 100 marks on the subject of Economics and Social issues for 1:30 hrs.
- Paper-II will be the descriptive type which will be held online for 100 marks for the time duration of 1:30 hrs.
- Paper III will be on Finance and management, nature of the questions will be objective for 100 marks and the time duration of 1:30 hrs.
RBI Grade B – Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR)
For RBI Grade B DEPR Phase 1 will have Paper I which will be conducted on 6 March 2022 and Phase II will have Paper II and III will be conducted on 31 March 2022.

RBI Grade B Exam Date
Phase I of the RBI Grade B 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on 6 March 2022. The exam for Phase II will be conducted on 1st April 2022 for General and 31st March 2022 for DEPR and DSIM. The dates for DEPR and DSIM are tentative, which will be confirmed with the release of Admit Card.
RBI Grade B 2022 Selection Process
The selection process for RBI Grade B 2022 will be based on merit in the written exam and Interview. RBI Grade B recruitment will be held in three phases, Phase I and II will be written examinations and Phase III will be an interview. The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in all the phases. The candidates who qualify the Phase 1 of the online examination will be called for Phase II, and candidates qualifying in Phase II will be called for an interview.
Phase I
- RBI Grade B General Post online examination Phase I will consist of a single paper which will be divided into 4 sections for 200 marks.
- RBI Grade B DEPR and DSIM posts written exam Phase I will have Paper 1 on Economics and statistics respectively.
- The candidates will get 2 hours to answer all the questions.
- Phase I is qualifying and screening in nature, candidates qualified in Phase I will be eligible to attend Phase II, and marks scored in Phase I will not be considered for final selection.
Phase II
- The candidate who qualifies in RBI Grade B online examination Phase I will be called for Phase II of the examination.
- RBI Grade B General posts Phase II will be divided into 3 papers, each for 100 marks. Candidates will get 1 hour 30 minutes to solve each paper.
- Phase II will be different for DEPR and DSIM which contain 2 papers.
- Marks scored in Phase II will be considered for final selection, qualified candidates in phase 2 will be called for Interview.
RBI Grade B Interview
The interview will be conducted for only those candidates who will be shortlisted based on their marks in Phase II. This interview will account for 50 marks, and candidates will be allowed to choose between Hindi and English as their preferred languages for the interview.
Final Selection
Marks scored in Phase II (aggregate marks of all papers) and Phase III (Interview) will be combined to make the final merit list. RBI Board will decide the cut-off and the candidates who score equal to or above the final cut-off will be appointed on the posts of RBI Grade B Officers.
