SSC CPO 2018 Number Of Vacancies
In the year 2017, SSC has conducted CPO SI examination for total 2697 vacancies. This year, we are expecting that the Staff Selection Commission will organize CPO SI recruitment event to recruit more than 3000 candidates on several posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Delhi Police & CISF (Central Industrial Security Force). Once official notification for SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 released, here we will update exact number of vacancies.
SSC CPO 2018 Eligibility Criteria
All the interested candidates are requested to check eligibility criteria needed for SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 before attempting the online application. SSC will accept application forms from eligible candidates only then call them to appear in examination.
- Nationality /Citizenship
An applicant should be either an Indian citizen or a subject of Bhutan or Nepal. Those Tibetan refugees who are permanently settled in India are also eligible to apply for SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018.
- Age Limits
An applicant must be in between 20 to 25 years at the time of attempting online application. Relaxation in maximum age limit will be applicable for candidates belonging to special categories. To know more, please have a look at below table

An applicant should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution. Students waiting for their final year results can also apply. However, they need to show original passing certificate at the time of employment.

SSC CPO 2018 Application Form & Process
Application form for SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 will be available online from 3rd March 2018. Yes, candidates need to attempt online application to apply for SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018. Candidates interested for SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 can submit and fill online application form till 2nd April 2018. Online application process will be divided into three sections:
- 1st Part: Candidate’s registration
- 2nd Part: Filling application form and uploading of documents
- 3rd Part: Payment of application fee
How To Fill SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 Online Application Form?
- Open browser and go to the SSC’s official website @ www.ssc.nic.in
- Now, find and click on the SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 tab/link
- Click ‘Apply Now’ tab/button
- Complete your online registration by entering your name, email ID as well as password
- You will get provisional registration number and password
- Use the same login credentials to login into your account
- Once you logged into account, fill rest of the details without any mistake as you cannot edit your application after final submission
- Upload the required documents in the same prescribed format (signature, image & left thumb impression)
- Recheck all the details before final submission
- Print your final submitted application form and pay your application fee (if applicable)

SSC CPO 2018 Application Fee & Mode Of Payment
Applicants belonging to general and OBC category needs to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- as their application fee. On the other hand, female applicants and applicants belonging to SC/ST/Ex-servicemen categories are exempted from paying application fee.

Applicants applicable for paying application fee need to pay through either online or offline mode. To pay fee online, a candidate have to use a debit/credit card or net banking facility. To pay fee offline, an applicant needs to generate an e-challan at the time of attempting online application and submit it with requisite application fee at any nearest SBI’s branch.
SSC CPO 2018 Exam Pattern
The Staff Selection Commission will complete this recruitment event in three Phases –
- Online CBT (paper I),
- Physical test and
- Paper II.
All the tests/examinations will be held on different dates. Further related information is given below:
1. Paper I Examination
SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 Paper I examination will be a computer based test having 200 objective type questions and each MCQ will be of 1 mark. It is expected SSC will issue admit cards for Paper I examination in the month of May 2018 and examination will be held in between 4th to 10th June 2018. Paper I examination pattern and syllabus is given below

Candidates qualified in paper I examination will be called to appear in Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test. This test will be applicable for all the candidates and for all the posts. Required measurements for PET are given below

3. Paper II
Applicants qualified in PET/PST as well as found medically fit will be allowed to appear in Paper-II. Like paper I, paper II will also be an online test of English language & Comprehension having 200 MCQs and each MCQ will be of 1 mark. MCQs in paper II will be considered to evaluate the applicant’s knowledge as well as understanding of English Language & it will be based on vocabulary, phrases & idiomatic use of words, spellings, error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), grammar, sentence completion, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension etc.
- Paper I : It has 200 MCQs and each contains 1 mark and the time duration will be 2 hours. There will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong attempt in this paper. The marks scored will be taken into consideration for final cutoff.
- PET (Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test): It is qualifying in nature.
- Paper II: The marks scored in this paper along with Paper I score will be considered for final merit list. It has 200 MCQs and each question carries 1 mark and the time duration will be 2 hours. There will be a negative marking system in this paper as well. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt.
SSC CPO 2018 Admit Card
The Staff Selection Commission will issue a separate admit card for each examination including Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test. However, SSC will not send any call letter to any candidate. Candidates itself have to download and print their admit card. Candidates can download their call letters online from the SSC’s official website.
How To Download SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 Admit Card?
- Open SSC’s website @ www.ssc.nic.in
- Now, find and click on ‘Recruitment’ section or tab
- Now, find and click on the SSC CPO SI, ASI, INSPECTOR 2018 link
- You will see download admit card button
- Click it
- Enter the required details such as registration no. & password/date of birth
- Submit details
- You will get your admit card/call letter
- Download and print it on A4 size paper
- Close the website
- Read all and follow all the instructions carefully given on admit card
SSC CPO SI 2018 Result
It is expected that SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 paper I result will be declared in August 2018. After few days from the day of examination, a candidate can check his/her result online from SSC’s website. SSC CPO SI, ASI, Inspector 2018 results will be available only on SSC’s official website. SSC CPO 2018 Cut Off Marks
Cut-off marks are also known as qualifying marks. If a candidate wants to be selected in final selection process then s/he needs to score minimum qualifying or cut-off marks outlined by SSC. After conducting this recruitment event successfully, SSC will post cut-off marks on its website. On the basis of cut-off marks, candidates will be called for final employment.
