UP Constable 2021 Recruitment [Syllabus & 50000 Vacancies] : UP Police Constable 2021 notification will be released in October 2021 and submission of online applications by eligible candidates will start from October and the last date of registration is November 2021.
UP PRPB will conduct UP Police Constable 2021 recruitment for filling up nearly 50,000 vacancies of Constable available in the Uttar Pradesh Police Department. Candidates who fulfill all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the post of Constable can apply online through websites @ uppbpb.gov.in or prpb.gov.in/.
The recruitment event will include a written examination and PST / PET. A written examination is expected to be held in November / December 2021 whereas PST / PET shall be conducted in Feb 2022. The final result of candidates who have qualified for the post of Constable shall be available by the end of Feb 2022.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is also known as UP PRPB, Lucknow will release the official notification for the recruitment of eligible candidates for the posts of constable in the UP Police Department. It will be a direct recruitment exercise organized and conducted by UP PRPB.

UP Police Constable 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for UP Police Constable recruitment 2021, interested candidates must check the eligibility conditions prescribed in the official notification. Candidates who fail to satisfy any condition will not be considered for final selection.

Age Limit and Relaxation
As on 1st July 2021, candidates should be 18 years old but not more than 25 years i.e., the applicant must have been born between 2nd July 1998 and 1st July 2005.

Minimum Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have passed in 10+12/intermediate examination from a recognized state/central board are eligible to apply for this recruitment exercise. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam and waiting for results /appearing students are not eligible to apply.

UP Police Constable 2021 Exam Pattern
- Written Examination – Those candidates who submit the online application successfully will get a chance to appear in UP Police Constable 2021 written examination. The written examination will be a computer based test of a maximum of 300 marks having MCQs on General Awareness, General Hindi, Numerical & Mental Ability, Mental Aptitude, I.Q., and Reasoning Ability. There will be also a provision of negative marking in the written examination.

- Physical Standard Test – Candidates qualified in written examination have to appear in a physical standard test. Minimum Physical Standard for both male and female candidates are given in the below table. The details of PST are given in the official notification.

- Physical Efficiency Test – Candidates having a minimum physical standard as prescribed have to appear in this test. This test will be conducted to assess candidates’ physical efficiencies. Further details on the Physical Efficiency Test will be updated by the Board on its official website.
- To qualify this test, a male candidate has to run 4.8 km in 25 minutes and female candidates have to run 2.4 km in 14 minutes. Those candidates who will not be able to complete running within a given time will not be eligible for recruitment. The complete procedure of the physical efficiency test and its schedule will be mentioned in the notification.

- General knowledge – This section will contain MCQs on the following topics – General Science, History of India, Indian constitution, Indian economy & culture, Indian agriculture, trade & commerce, population, environment & urbanization, India’s & World’s geography, natural resources, UP’s educational culture, questions on subjects of National & international importance, cybercrime, important days, books and their authors, social media communication, countries, and their capitals & currencies, awards, demonetization and its effect, environmental studies, important abbreviations, protection of women & children, etc.
- General Hindi – This section will contain MCQs on the following topics – Hindi & other Indian languages, sentence correction & idioms phrases, Hindi grammar, antonym, synonym, questions & answers from the passage, one-word substitutions, etc.
- Numerical & Mental Ability – This section will contain MCQs on the following topics – Number system, arithmetical computations & other analytical functions, mensuration, time & distance, partnership, discount, HCF & LCM, average, use of tables & graphs, ratio & proportion, profit & loss, simple & compound interest, perception test, logical interpretation of data, the forcefulness of argument, determining implied meanings, word & alphabet analogy, symbol-relationship interpretation, word-formation test, letter & number series, etc.
- Mental aptitude, I.Q., and Reasoning Ability – This section will contain MCQs on several topics to check candidate’s attitude towards the following- Gender sensitivity, sensitivity towards underprivileged & minorities, contemporary police issues & law & order, communal harmony, crime control, etc. In addition to this, this part of the written examination also contains MCQs on other topics such as arithmetical number series, arithmetical reasoning, discrimination, analysis judgment, space visualization, analogies, similarities, time sequence test, blood relation, coding & decoding, etc.
UP Police Constable 2021 Selection Procedure
UP Police Constable 2021 recruitment will have a written examination, PST / PET, and document verification. Firstly, the written examination will be conducted and those candidates who manage to qualify written examination by scoring minimum or above cut-offs (to be decided later) will be called to appear for PST / PET and document verification.
PST / PET will be qualifying in nature therefore candidates must have to qualify all the tests in PST / PET in order to be considered for final merit. Documents of those candidates who manage to qualify PST / PET will be checked. The final selection of candidates will be based on their overall performance in the written examination and PST / PET.

UP Police Constable 2021 Result
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UP PRPB) will first release the written examination results after few weeks from the date of the written examination. Candidates qualified in written examination have to appear in a physical standard test followed by a physical proficiency test.
