Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will release the official notification to commence the recruitment drive for the post of LIC Assistant.  Division wise LIC Assistant Notifications will be released on 17^th September 2021 on the official website of LIC @ www.licindia.in. LIC Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2021

LIC has set some minimum eligibility criteria that all the candidates have to fulfill in order to apply for LIC Assistant Recruitment 2021. The candidates who do not fulfill these eligibility conditions can be disqualified at any stage of the selection process.

Nationality

Only Indian Citizens can apply for LIC Assistant 2021.

Age Limit

Candidates willing to apply for LIC Assistant 2021 should be at least 18 years old and they also must not be older than 30 years as of 1^st September 2021. Only the candidates born between 02-09-1990 and 01-09-2002 are eligible to apply.

Relaxation in Age

Candidates who belong to the following reserved categories will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the norms of Government which is mentioned in the below table.

LIC Assistant Application Fee 2021

The online application form will remain incomplete until the payment of the LIC Assistant Application Fee. You have to pay Rs. 510/- plus the processing charges as the application fee if you belong to the unreserved category. For the candidates of the SC / ST / PwBD category the application fee will be Rs. 85/- plus processing charges. You can make payment of LIC Assistant Application Fee in online mode through Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking / IMPS / Mobile Wallets.

Documents Needed

You will need scanned copies of the following documents to upload at the time of filling the LIC Assistant Online Application Form.

• Photograph (.jpg, 20 k-50 kb, 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm, 200 x 300 pixels preferred)

LIC Assistant Exam Pattern 2021

LIC will conduct a two-phase examination for LIC Assistant Recruitment 2021. Candidates who apply for LIC Assistant 2021 will be called to appear for the preliminary exam and those who qualify for the preliminary exam will have to appear for Main Exam, below you can find the exam pattern for both the preliminary and main exam.

LIC Assistant Preliminary Exam Pattern

• LIC Assistant Preliminary exam will be conducted in online mode
• There will be 100 multiple choice questions for 100 marks
• The duration of the preliminary exam will be 1 hour
• The questions will be both in Hindi and English language (except for the Language section)
• For every incorrect answer, 1/4^th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted
• There will be no penalty for any unanswered question

Note: Hindi / English section will be qualifying in nature. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Numerical and Reasoning Ability sections only.

LIC Assistant Main Exam Pattern

Candidates who qualify Preliminary Exam will have to appear for the Main Exam. The pattern for LIC Assistant Main Exam will be different for different zones and you can find the zone wise exam pattern below

Group 1 – Northern Zone / North Central Zone / East Central Zone / Central Zone / Western Zone

Group 2 – Eastern Zone / South Central Zone / Southern Zone

• LIC Assistant Main exam will be conducted for 200 marks
• There will be 200 multiple choice questions
• The question will be divided into 5 sections for Group 1 States
• There will be 4 sections in Main Exam for Group 2 States
• Candidates will get 2 hours and 30 minutes to answer all 200 questions
• There will also be negative marking, and for every wrong answer 1/4^th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted
• No marks will be deducted for any unanswered questions

LIC Assistant Selection Process 2021

LIC will be making a selection of the eligible candidates for Assistant Post by conducting a two-phase online examination.

Preliminary Exam

All the candidates who successfully apply for LIC Assistant 2021 will be called to appear for Preliminary Exam which will be conducted for 100 marks. LIC will prepare a merit list and candidates who get placed on the merit list will be called to appear for Main Exam. You should note that the preliminary exam will only serve as a screening test and the marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam will not be considered at the time of final selection.

Main Exam

Qualifying candidates of the Preliminary Exam will be called for LIC Assistant Main Exam. Main Exam will be conducted for 200 marks and the candidates who score more or equal marks to cut off will be shortlisted for final selection.

Final Merit List will be prepared according to marks obtained in the main exam and if two or more candidates get the same marks then the person with the higher educational qualification will be placed higher in the merit list. In case the educational qualification is also the same, then the candidate who is senior in age will be given preference.

LIC Assistant Call Letter / Admit Card 2021

LIC will release the LIC Assistant Call Letter for Preliminary and Main Exam on the official website @ licindia.in. The Call Letter for Preliminary Exam will become available from 15^th October 2021 on the official website and the date for Main Exam Call Letter release will be announced soon.

LIC Assistant Call Letter will only be available for downloading through the official website as no copy of the Call Letter will be provided to the candidates and you will need to go through the following steps in order to download your LIC Assistant Call Letter.

LIC Assistant Result 2021

LIC will release the LIC Assistant Result after conducting each step of the Recruitment Process. The first LIC Assistant Preliminary Exam Result will be released followed by the Final / Main Exam Result.

• The result will be released in the form of a merit list and in order to check if you have qualified for the Preliminary / Main Exam you have to visit the official website and find your name/roll number in the merit list (using CTRL + F).
• If your name/roll number appears in the merit list, then you will become eligible for the next stage or final selection on the post of LIC Assistant.

LIC Assistant Cut Off 2021

LIC Assistant Cut Off marks will be declared by LIC on the official website, these will be the minimum qualifying marks that the candidates will have to score in order to become eligible for the next stage or final selection. LIC will announce Category wise cut-off on the basis of the number of vacancies, the performance of candidates, and the reservation policy of the government. Candidates who fail to score equal or more marks than the cut off will be disqualified from the recruitment process.

LIC Assistant Salary 2021

Candidates who get selected for the post of LIC Assistant will receive a basic salary of Rs. 14,435/- per month in the scale of Rs. 14435-840(1)-1527-915(2)-17105-1030(5)-22255-1195 (2)-24645-1455(3)-29010-1510(2)-32030-1610(5)-40080. They will also get other allowances like travel, HRA, Dearness, etc. The total gross salary of LIC Assistant will be about Rs. 30,000/- per month.

LIC Assistant Probation Period 2021

The candidates who get selected for the post of LIC Assistant will remain on probation for a period of 6 months, which can be extended up to one year.

Pre Exam Training for OBC / SC / ST /PwBD Candidates

LIC Assistant Pre Exam training will be provided to the willing candidates who belong to SC / ST / OBC / PwBD category. Candidates willing to take pre-exam training will have to register their name with the P&IR Department of Divisional Office within three days of submitting the online application form.

The registered candidates will then be informed about the training dates and venue. Candidates have to attend the training at the prescribed dates and venue and they also have to bear the cost of stay and travel during training.
